Your exhaust is plugged. Start your dryer go outside to the vent and feel for air coming out. If no air or just a little is coming out, check your exhaust tubing. Make sure you check the outside vent.

It sounds to me like a problem with the timer. Timers do not get repaired...they get replaced. I hope this helps you out ....it is not always the best news to find out it is going to cost money but if it is not under warranty we really have little choice in the matter....Thanks for choosing Fixya and a click on the yes bow with a rating would be great if you can remember to on your way out of our site.
What happens is that the door switch gets turned inside. I just took mine apart because of the same problems listed. The switch has a tab inside that has to make contact with the internal switch. I pulled mine apart and turned it so it made contact...put it back together and it works fine now. After doing all that it seems like you could turn the swith from the outside a quarter turn with a pair of pliers and accomplish the same thing.
