Air bag pump is running, new airbags . rear bags wont air up.

These Lincoln air suspensions are terrible. I have converted many over to coil springs at a fraction of the cost of replacing/repairing the bags. If the rear bags don't inflate, there is a broken air line to the bags or the bags are leaking

I have a 2001 lincoln navigator the rear suspension is down i hear the pump come on but it will not raise by the way i had the pump replace about 8 months ago what could be the problem and can i fix i

The air bags commonly go bad on these trucks as well as the Expeditions. They are called Air Springs. I sell better quality ones than those sold at auto part stores and they are also a bit cheaper than dealer parts. But either way the problem is you have bad air springs.

Air suspension not functioning back of truck sitting on wheels

Problem most likely 1 of 2 things.
  1. Most common is bad air springs- they will fill up but fail to hold air. 1 symptom is you will hear the air compressor constantly pumping air to try to keep the spring inflated
  2. Bad line from compressor to the air spring- this is less likely since it shouldn't impact the air spring's ability to hold the air once it's pumped up.
If the rear of the truck raises and settles back on the wheels after you turn the truck off then it's almost certain to be the air springs. Often referred to as air bags, they look like normal springs with the air bags inside.

If the rear of the truck doesn't raise at all, the line from the compressor is likely bad to the point that it won't fill the springs at all. If it turns out to be the springs, you should replace them in pairs since they often will go within months of each other. Another thing to consider is some Lincoln owners have opted to replace the air ride system with conventional springs.

2001 Navigator rear suspension sagging. While

It sounds like one of your air bags could have blown. I would check them first. I would also suggest checking into a replacement non air conversion kit from Strutmasters. I replaced the air system on my 2002 Navigator and saved a lot of time, money and headaches. The lines on my navigator had holes in them and I replaced the compressor twice before I realized it. Very costly. Avoid all the hassle and check out Strutmasters.

How do i release the air in the bags on a 2003 lincoln navigator 2 wheel drive

First thing is why would you want to and then next is make sure the air ride is turned off. At the top of the air springs there a valve you will have to removed the line off of the valve and then remove the valve from the air springs, then you can remove it. Hope this helps

2001 Lincoln Navigator Air Suspension

the auto leveling is standard on the navigator.
first you have to understan that the auto leveling system is on front and rear of these trucks.
one way to tell is do you hear the pump running and do you have air in the front bags. and if you do you need a rear level sensor.
