Head bolts torque sequence on Briggs & Stratton model number 331877

If you don't have the proper sequence then the general rule is to do a cross pattern. Do one bolt on your left then one on your right then left etc. When torqueing head bolts you need to torque in three stages. figure out your torque spec then divide by three. That # is your first torque. Do all bolts to this and then do the second torque then the last torque which should be the f/lbs you need to be at

What is the torque sequence on a 18 hp. v twin motor briggs and stratton motor

If your talking about the cylinder head bolts. I don't know the exact sequence but I was a truck mechanic for forty years and went by the rule of thumb to start in the center and work towards the ends. That way you avoid a buckling o9f the head.

Torque for oil pan on 16 hp vanguard

You should not need torque on those bolts..just need only a few lbs..enough to sets the gasket tightly...I use a small hand wrench and tighten hand tight holding the wrench at the head part of the handle..this will give you plenty of torque without fear of stripping the threads..if you want, re tighten after the engine warms up to operations temp..just a suggestion how I have done it successful many times..good luck..
