I just bought it on 27th May in Toronto and I straight away brought it to India.
I followed all instructions as mentioned in the manual.
The water is filled. The model is DGB 550BKC.
It grinds and after that it stops.
When I put the grind off button and then click the machine on - everything stops !

The unit is just not doing anything, it is not heating, it is not brewing, it is only grinding and doing nothing else.

Hi,

What is the problem you have faced exactly with your coffee machine? If you can't turn it on then check the power cable and your electric outlet and also check that you have plugged it properly. If the machine get turn on but you can't brew a coffee then remove the infuser and thoroughly clean it. Then Repeat the operation using a maximum of 1 measure of ground coffee. May be the holes in the spouts are clogged. Scrape the holes with a needle. Make clean the brewer. And also Descale the machine. If it doesn't solve your problem then you have to repair your brewer.

This sounds like you have a dead unit. I had a failure with my coffee maker shortly after I purchased it and had to send it to the repair center (phone number in back of manual) for a replacement under warrantee. Call the repair center to get an RMA number before you send it in to avoid problems.
My replacement unit has been in service for over a year brewing coffee twice a day.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

The controller needs to be replaced. Cuisinart does not sell parts for self repair, but has units returned to its repair center for fixing. Since you are in India, your best bet is to contact Cuisinart by email on their international customer care on www.cuisinart.com

first of all there is a three year limited warranty on that unit so you wouldnt be able to take the unit apart and do any repairs to it or you would void your warranty.secondly depending on where you bought the unit you would have to contact them to find out about there warranty service seeing how you are now located in india and how abouts they want to go about repairing the unit.Once again do not try to take this unit apart or if you do as the preverbial saying goes you own it all which means labor, parts everything you would have to pay for where as most likely your looking at having to ship the unit to them to have it repaired also if you have highly calcified water where you are currently at the unit will not heat enough to cause the dripping cycle to operate and most likely your looking at sending the one you have back when your new one arrives is the way i see how they do things there and btw there customer service is rated as 5 stars so open that manual and you will see there customer service number and give them a call if you have any further questions message me back I await your reply Thanks Rick

yes i do have a reason why your unit is not working listed in the last paragraph do you happen to know the hardness levl of the water this is right out of the service manual as to hardness level with that machine " if you have highly calcified water where you are currently at the unit will not heat enough to cause the dripping cycle to operate"

I just purchased a DGB-900BC unit. Coffee temperature is really not hot.

See page 10 of your user's manual; if you misplaced it, go to:
Cuisinart DGB 900BC Instruction Booklet Page 10

If the instructions listed half-way down the page don't help, contact Cuisinart customer support, or return the coffee maker to the store you bought it from.

I have a 12 cup cusinart grind & brew. The hopper is not working

You may have to clean the grinder....even more. That happened to me once. First I cleaned out the coffeemaker with the brush, and "dug" out more coffee, then I used this product which you can find on Amazon: "Urnex Grindz Coffee Grinder Cleaner - Urnex 17-GRINDZ12-40." It's expensive, but it really worked well.

Cusinart DGB 550BK coffee maker not working properly

Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.
