Re: GREEN VERTICAL LINES
If the lines are white diagonal and thin as a thread It is going to be one of two things...
A bad screen amp board or the picture tube.. If the screen amp board is at fault then the set is repairable.. If it is a shorted picture tube it is a cost prohibitave, or no repair situation.

Hi I had the same problem. Broken white lines across the top of the screen. This is called overscan. You need to go into the Setup menu, other settings. 16:9 overscan needs to be on. Hope this helps. It solved our problem.
It`s total vertical collapse, which means 3 possibilities, vertical IC has failed, vertical IC solder connections are broken, the B+ line (voltage to make IC run) to the vertical IC has failed. None of these problems are big dollar repairs, 1/2 hour repair by any qualified tech, Good Luck & Happy Holidays, BMW Rider
whenever you see horizontal line please reduce brightness of your tv for safety of crt.
your problem in vertical section only mostly due to loose contact in
connector,print or loose components.
have a Mitsubishi TV 1993. Model CS-35301. The problem is that there is a white line that is running through a blank screen. The sound is fine just no picture. Have you heard of "Vertical Collapse?"
I would love to save the TV.
nothing to worry just minimise brightness to avoid screen burn.
means one bright hor.line in the middle of screen.
this problem can be solved
1 check vertical yoke connector or wire loose
2 check supply to vertical section which normally comes from EHT transformer
check components in vertical section or print loose
