Obviously wired wrong. I will assume it is still under warranty? If you only recently picked unit up, I would also question the quality of the PDI performed. ( Pre Delivery Inspection) Have you tried to contact dealer you purchased it from?

My Dometic AC on my travel trailer cools well but I cannot set the fan to stay on when the compressor cycles off. Can a different switch or board be installed to allow the fan to stay on?

An energy saver setting is what it sounds like. Turn off energy saver feature and fan should run 100% and compressor cycle on-off separately. If not familiar with energy saver setting .make sure it has one or not before disregarding this.

Common problem with TT's. the first thing I do is always find afternoon shade to park mine under to decress loads. Also If you are getting a 20 degree split between the air coming out of the unit and the air returning to the unit its doing all it can do and its doing good.I would also recommend that you crack the cabnits open a bit to prevent hot air build up inside those spaces. It is really hard to size a unit as TT's are used in cool areas as well as hot areas and one size does not fit all. You might want to concider a larger unit? tough call .. Hope this helps .. let me know Jon

Neither.
The fan should run in the 'auto' position.
If it runs (on hi and lo settings) then I doubt if anything is wrong with the fan motor.
I would think your thermostat is bad and needs replacing.

Check all 12 volt fuses in panel, as well as make sure breaker is on that powers unit. Also if you pull face off wall thermostat, you may have glass fuses in there & possible one or more has blown & will need to be replaced. Do you hear any clicking when you operate thermostat manually from wall?

You may have a short in the system. There could be a lot of solutions to this problem. Maybe you could give more detail. May need a professional to look at this one? If you can give more detail I could try to help.

Depends on wattage demand of ac unit. VXA=W 110x20amps=2,0200 Watts. A 2,00 watt generator is too small. Best go for a 3,kw genset. A 5 kw will leave you room to run appliances and the ac simultaneously., otherwise you will need to watch your margin usage. I think 4.5 kw gensets are also available. Happy trails.
