Try cleaning the steam nozzle and steam chamber.----
Your steam iron is probably clogged with mineral deposits from your water. To remedy this common problem, pour equal amounts white vinegar and water into the iron's chamber. Turn to the steam setting, put the iron in the upright position and leave it on for five minutes. After unplugging the iron and allowing it to cool, empty the water. The mineral deposits will come out, too.---
There is most likely a small port where some particles have clogged...fill reservoir with vinegar and water (50/50) and allow to soak 24 hrs, then reheat then shake vigorously to drain then rinse then retry.
Also check solenoid steam valve which is fitted on the steam tank output pipe. There's a little valve on the water tank on the inner side where it connects to the base, push this in a couple of times it may be stuck.-------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Generally bad connection... most likely the power cord. Also could be a problem with the bad switch; you can go to smallappliance.com and buy a new switch and orther parts that you need.
Hope this helps.
