The most common reason is you left part of the old seal stuck on the impeller and the new seal is riding on top of the seal ring (black rubber) of the old and therefore is tom compacted and it binds up the pump. Double check you removed all the old seal parts.
If that's not it, with the impeller off, can you turn the motor shaft then?

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
You can try but you are likely missing at least one semi-custom tool required to install the new ones - a bearing driver. The bearings are less than $10 each, labor at a local electric motor repair shop should be under $75...all told for less than $100 you can have it done and know it is right plus get a warranty on the work performed.
While they have the unit they can also check the pump seal and likely replace it at the same time. Even with a seal it should still be under $125 and possibly still under $100...about a third of the cost of a new pump.
If you are willing to risk trying the repair yourself you'll need to disassemble the motor, ID what the current bearing size and type are, get a set of them, check the seal, install new parts after cleaning up the pieces of the motor and pump and then put it all back together and reinstall it.
If you run into trouble along the way post a comment with the issue you are having and we can go from there.
