Ignore the mewling about joining, scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose "Basic" download. 207 MB, be patient.

Burn .iso, unplug camera, mount CD, choose "Install Driver", reboot when done, plug in camera.

Don;t lose this, there are no copies on the web

It is about 200MB. Then burn to cd and use the cd to install. This is the only way I can get mine working. I only had 10 pixs on there but no one else had a camera and I grabbed this one from Walgreens.

You definitely have chance, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this software to recover Canon photos, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.

The chances of recovery can be high as long as you act as soon as possible and stop using the Norcent camera to take more photos or videos or saving more data to the camera memory card. Then find some tested and reliable program from this site Digital Camera Photo Recovery. Here are the steps you may follow.
1. Connect your camera (memory card) PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program.
2. Scan for the lost files (photos, videos etc).
3. Recover them.

SOURCE: Is it possible to recover my pictures?

Those deleted pictures can be got back as long as you take the right steps.

First things first - stop taking more photos (or videos) using the same camera (memory card) in case you may quite possibly ruin the chances of recovery.

Then connect the Nikon Coolpix camera (memory card) to your computer which has installed a data recovery software. Check this site Digital Camera Recovery for several tested and nice programs working under Both Windows and Mac OS X.

Hope it helps!

Under the circumstances, best solution is to do the system restoring.
Go to My Computer Click System properties. Select System restore and follow instructions therein. NOTE you select the system restore date/point before you downloaded Aries program. Once the action is completed you will find that your computer has been restored to a point before you downloaded Aries. The down loaded program will not be there.

How to get pictures

go to a store that has the machine where you can order a CD of your pictures rather than getting prints. Walgreens, Walmart, etc...

Its a good idea to buy a card reader for your type of card so you dont have to use up battery power while uploading photos to your computer. It saves a lot in batteries.

As for your battery, if you have rechargeables, you should always keep spares and only recharge when battery completely dies, dont charge just because you used it, only when it dies....this will prolong the life of your battery/batteries.

What batteries to use

Alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in a digital camera. Dollar store batteries are even worse. Some may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. The best batteries to use with your camera would be rechargeable NiMH batteries. Walmart sells these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may slap yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Now if your camera is stuck half open/half closed due to the batteries dieing during startup, try to reset it by removing the memory card, and then starting the camera with GOOD batteries. If the camera starts (in error mode due to the missing card), shut off the camera, reinsert the memory card, then restart the camera.

Samsung Digimax V4 Power Consumption

I had similar symptoms as well until it finally died: 1) First started eating batteries like crazy, especially standard AA and rechargeables. The CRV3 seemed to work a bit longer. 2) One day out of nowhere the autofocus stopped working. I replaced the batteries and it worked again for 10 shots. Then the autofocus stopped working and battery died (with the lens stuck open). Pressing power, the LCD backlight flashes on, the LED in the view finder blinks, and the lens motor makes noise. Then nothing just stuck open. 3) Again new batteries and was able to close lens, take a few pictures and dead again with lens stuck open - same problem in 2. 4) Replaced the batteries a couple times and was able to get a shot or two off, and now its complete stuck open, even with brand new batteries - with same problem in 2 it just won't turn on. I finally sent it to Samsung the week of Christmas. I called Friday 1/7/05 to check and had to leave a voicemail. They called back Monday 1/10/05 to let me know they recieved it and that I should call back Thursday to check its status.
