I would run it at a 25-1 fuel oil mix with a good two stroke oil.

Homelite chain saw MODEL UT109460 will not start up I don't have a manuel and need help to figure out why it won't turn on at all.

Hello again Asher, I'm back. Let's just check a few things:
Gas may be old and stale, this happens when you don't use machine for a long while. Empty old and put in new. Cap should have measurement.
If this is a fuel/oil mixture machine, did you use straight gas? Not good if you did. This could damage your engine.
Do you have spark? If not did you move OFF to ON switch?
Did you put on choke and pull cord till engine almost starts?
If it does this did you then put choke to 1/2 choke?
If you get to this point and engine does start, let it warm shortly and put choke to open.
If still no start it is possible that you have a carburator problem, and need a rebuild. Please let me know how you made out, GOOD LUCK.

It is running lean, they always need to run a little on the rich side free running, once the engine is loaded it will then need the excess fuel, it runs ok without the bar and chain because there is no load, start by replacing the fuel filter in the fuel tank, check the fuel hose up to the carb for signs of fuel leakage, replace if reqired, if the carb has standard adjuster screws, increase the H screw by 1/4 turn out ( anto clockwise ) this will richen the mixture.

What is the correct fuel/oil mixture for an older Eager ****** 16 inch chain saw?

It really depends on the model number of your Eager Beav er unit. Anything within the last 6 years is 50 to 1 older models can be anywhere from 25 to 1, to 32 - 1 up to 40 - 1. t all depends on the model number.

The usual fuel mixture is 40 - 1 or 3.2 oz. per gallon.

Your chain saw would have to be pre-1995 to use a mixture greater than 40-1. If your chain saw is other than that then use a 32 - 1 ratio. 4.oz per gal.

This is a great fuel mixture calculator:

If you know your model number you can use this page to get an owners / operators manual:

The chain came off of my Remington 16" electric saw. How do I put the chain back on?

If the saw was at speed when the chain came off there are probably burrs on the chain drive links (the part that goes in the bar). They often cause binding and in extreme case may cause the chain to ride up and off the bar when operated. Use a file on the drive link flats to remove all burrs.
An Operator Manual far almost all models of RemingtonPower chainsaws can be found here:

The answer to your question can be found here:

Click "Chain Saws", then "next page" once, cursor down and select "HOMELITE CORPORATION", keep selecting "next page" until you find your model. A "MIX OIL SPECIFICATION:" appears on the page. the listings on these pages are not alpha numeric. ABC often follows XYZ and 25 precedes 10.
2 cycle oil technology has improved since this saw was purchased. I use Stihl 2-cycle Engine Oil to operate a Pioneer I bought new 1980. My manual says 24:1. It was operated at 32:1 for many years, the last 5± it runs at 50:1. I suggest you run it operate at the mixture recommended by the OIL supplier. HTH

Fuel Mixture Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chain Saw

Page 17 of your Operator's Manual says 50:1.

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 8oz/2gal - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (Stihl 2.6oz/1gal)
  2. Most gas in the US of A contains ethanol; not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few months. Anything over 6 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH
