your drain will be plugged under the tray. there is a hose that runs to the drip tray. the back cover comes off you can then get at the hose

maybe? yeah but have you checked that the drainage hole is is clean and clear from any trapped dirt, that is sometimes a major problem, it stopped my freezer from functioning for weeks!! but the day i cleared it the water was gone, and the freezer was working as good as new!

defrost drain is blocked - probably with ice. take the back panel off inside the freezer and melt the ice off with a hairdryer then follow up with hot water till it flows away freely. this takes some patience. if fault reoccurs then get back to me

Yes, you are correct, that is a drain. Use a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water to flush out the drain tube until water will flow out into the drain pan under the refrig. (where the air blown over it will cause it to evaporate)
