Try registering your device and then sync it.if that dont work you can restore your phone to its factory settings .to do that i recommend going to samsung blackjack hacks and study it .there is alot of helpful info at this site.down load a free registry editor and the results are pretty good.be careful to follow the directions to a tee.you could brick your phone....other wise take it back and get another one where you bought that one and start from scratch.

also, before you try setting your phone to its original settings, take out your memory card if you do go to this extreme.....and back up your data..

Did download a VLC but Win Media Player says"

Did you try playing the dvd using VLC instead of windows media player?

VLC is a separate player for media files. It will not enable Win media player to play DVDs but WILL play DVDs very nicely on it's own.

If you still want to get win media player to work you might try installing this free codec pack : http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack/3000-13632_4-10749065.html

  • Download.
  • Install.
  • Restart computer.
Hopefully you should be good to go.

Good luck ;)

With a Sansa Clip+ only work with Rhapsody? I don't want to have to pay for an account and then also pay for the songs as well.

No, Sansa players work with many types of music files and computers.
You may want to post details about your computer-- Mac, Windows, or Linux?
Also, what computer software do you use for music-- MediaMonkey? Windows Media Player?
Assuming you are using Windows XP--
You may already have songs on your Win XP computer, in Windows Media Player. If so, you can synchronize your player with Win Media Player-- This will load all the songs from your computer onto the Sansa, space permitting.

You can also copy files directly to the Sansa player, just as you copy files to a flash drive:

1) Configure the Sansa Player as a removable drive.
With player unplugged, go to Settings > System Settings > USB Mode
Select MSC

2) Plug the Sansa player into your computer.
The computer will recognize it as a flash drive, and will assign a drive letter.

3) Open Windows Explorer.
Find the directory on your computer that contains music files.
Copy and paste music files into the Music directory on your Sansa player.

4) Using the green arrow, bottom left on the system tray, safely shut down the Sansa player.

5) When you unplug it, the player will spend a minute or two updating its files.

6) Your music should be available to play.

If you are running things on a system other than Win XP, please post more details--
Someone may give you a more exact solution.

Best of luck!

Mp3 not playing

if still recognized by computer(if you can still add and remove songs manually using the win explorer or win media player)formatting and updating the player's software might help...

CAUTION- checkif software exactly matching your player is available from philips homepage before formatting the device.

if all of this does not work you might end up having a portable harddisk(usb-stick-like), which is basically the same situation you are in now..

good luck

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER SOUNDS BAD

download real player, if everything sounds good with real player, uninstall windows media player and reinstall it. If you keep reinstalling it ontop of itself the issue will not get fixed. Its probably a media codec issue.

- This device also works with Windows 98 SE and Windows ME, apart from Windows 2000 and XP. Make sure all the critical updates are installed on your computer - To put songs from a regular audio CD to the MP3 Player, you would first need to convert the songs from the audio CD in MP3, WMA, Ogg or Audio ASF format. The songs in audio CDs are in CDA format. good luck
