Yhe indicator that you are seeing is most likely a charging system light (alternator). It could be other things like a brake warning lamp, but I don't know what king of car you are talking about, so I have no way to look it up for you.
In any case, YELLOW or AMBER lights on the dash mean that you should use caution while driving and get the car checked as soon as it is convinient for you. On the other hand, RED warning lamps mean STOP OPERATING THE VEHICLE until you have resolved the cause of the light coming on (unless you like being stranded - or worse!).

I looked in the manual for a 2003 cause I didn't have one for the 2002. If you look at the picture below and if that is what you are seeing, it means that your coolant level is low. Check the radiator and cooling system for being low. I hope this helps you and good luck.
