Well I think that you need the av cable for your super nintendo console to work on a digital tv then.

I just bought a Samsun Series 4+ / 440 / 450 (on the users manual lol) but when i try to hook up my DTV or PS3 using an AV cable, nothing shows up. In the Sources, it shows "AV" but when i select...

is that the av channel? if so, how do you know your getting a signal from the ps3? try hooking the ps3 up to something else to make sure you have a signal coming out of that cable (this is where you have to start) if you have another device like a DVD player, or VCR, hook that up to the AV input (or channel one as you say). if you get a picture from those devices, the problem is your ps3 not sending the signals to the tv. sorry I can't be more helpful, but that's my guess

No signal to tv

your av cabeles could be on the wrong setting try to change from hdmi to tv on the end of the av cable that goes into the xbox. if it still dosent work then try to change the imoprt slots or try your cabels on another tv to see if its your cables thats the problem if you get signal on the other tv then its your first tv. but if you dont your av cabels mite be going i sugjest buying a new set if the other options dont work

My av cables for the wii dont work

switch the colors around till it works. You are getting a video signal, but the colors are back wards. Are you hooking it up composite, component, or HDMI?

NES screen static

You hit the nail on the head! Whats probably happened is that the ground wire on the coaxial cable is not making a good connection with the end piece and therefore not getting a full signal to the TV. Try AV cables good luck!
