If anybody still runs Windows XP, they need to stop that. Developers will no longer support Windows XP. :)

You do not have to remove Chrome to use Firefox. In fact, some websites may not render properly in one, so using the other may help tremendously.

David Signo has indicated that is is better to remove the one that you are not using, but I am not completely in agreement. I would say having Chrome and Firefox installed at the same time allows for you to pick one based on preference.

No matter what.... do not use Internet Explorer. It is just no good. :)

Good Luck

Hi,

Good day. Yes better to have the old browser or chrome uninstall first, then setup or install mozilla. But even if you don't uninstall chrome it will not affect your mozilla and still it's better to have a spare browser if in case the other one fails. Hope this information help you a bit. Have a great day.

Hi,
You can keep both the browser not a problem.
If you are not going to use crome ,then better to un-install it first and install Firefox.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Firefox and google crome is not opening

If Firefox and Google Chrome are not working after updating them or installing Windows update, then it's suggested that you restart the computer and then check if they work.
Even after restarting the computer, it does not work, then rollback the Windows update or browser update.

Furthermore, these kind of issues may occur if you've installed any antivirus program which offers virtual browsing feature. In this case, try disabling either the virtual browsing feature of the Antivirus program or the antivirus program altogether momentarily.

Finally, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the browsers.

It may be the problem of your browser or a slow internet connection. If you are using mozilla firefox or crome uninstall the browser completely. Then re install a new version.

I have installed Firefox 3.5. It was working fine but then stopped suddenly. After returning to IE for the last 2 yesrs I tried installing Firefox again, but it just hung my whole PC & now I can't...

there is a clash of DLL/executable files with IE and FF, Opera, Google's Crome etc...Microsoft had made some changes to the IE browser that will stop other browsers from working fine (IE is part of the Win OS and woven so well into the OS that it cannot be deleted from the system)....i guess there was a law suit going on UK on this subject and MS has lost it...
So they may have to alow people with the option to use other browsers...but i guess u cant prove that IE is stopping other browsers from functioning properly....War of competition....
