Put the grips in hot soap'water let them soak .take them out let cool off clean and rinse them off with luke warm water after cleaning them also inside the grip hole, clean the handle bar with alcohol. Put them back on and twist them till they become a bit stiff than let it dry. It will grip the handlebar.

My 1991 ford f250 5 litre 5-speed 4x4 has a problem with the clutch slipping all of a sudden ,after lending to a driver with heavy clutch use habits, can i adjust clutch to get more grip back?

Check to see if you have a rear main seal leak (oil leak) best thing is not to lend it to that driver again unless they pay for it to be fixed

New Sharpro grips; having trouble getting them over the end of the club to slip on. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You want to make sure the shaft your installing on is the same butt diameter as the grips. If the shafts bigger than the grips it is possible to stretch them on there however you risk tearing the grip.

Also you may not have just put it on far enough. Once you start sliding it on don\'t stop! If there is extra play at the end you can use a needle and inject solvent under the grip to loosen it up.

How do you stop things from slipping around on the cutting board when you are using a sharp knife?

The hand that you are not using to hold the knife is called your guiding hand. It holds the food and keeps it from slipping around on the board.

You should use something called a claw grip, where you use your free fingers to grip the food that needs to be cut whilst tucking them under so that they wont be in the firing line if the knife slips.

What lubricate do i use on my treadmill to stop the mat from gripping

The walk belt should not be "griping", Are you sure that The roller may be stopping and starting? Hard to tell with out watching with the hood off. You will need to check the front pully where it is pressed on the metal tube that is the front roller. The pully looses its grip on the metal tube, and it starts griping then slips and grips again. I believe that is what you are feeling. The repair is to repalce the front roller.

Hope this helps, let me know

The tripod legs on my manfrotto 3433 slip. the clamping apparatus doesn't have enough grip and just the weight of my video camera is enough to make the legs start sliding down. I see an allen socket...

Hi toolroom347,

There are different clips on the tripod which allow you to adjust the settings for a firmer grip, you also need to extent the gap between the legs of the tripod for a firmer grip, this will help you to set the optimal settings for your tripod which will be fair enough to carry the weight of your camera.

Also a simple solution to stop this slip problem is to carry a small piece of cloth which has guide good grip or a rubber material and then place your camera on it , this will work excellent for a firmer grip.
This has definitely worked for me.

Hope this helps you as well...:)

The brush motor starts and stops during use

Is it the actual motor stopping or the belt that spins the brush that's slipping? if its belt slip, this happens, pretty common on all belt vacs, dirt and dust gets under the belt and causes it to just slip with no actual grip on the brush end. This slipping can also cause to much friction ware and actually changes the inner diameter of the belt so even cleaned it would still (maybe) slip so need a replaced belt.

But I'd take the belt off first and clean it as well as the heads it spins over then try it again. Make sure you unplug from the wall, a vac brush can and will take your fingers clean off.

Papper keeps jamming

I seem to have fixed the problem on my Samsung SCX-4521F. The paper was feeding about 1 third through and stopping. I figured it was the large soft black paper roller which can be viewed at the back of the paper tray, loosing its grip.
So I initiated a copy function and turned the machine off half way through the soft black paper roller doing its 1 revolution.
This allowed me to access the back of the roller where I slipped a SLENDER toothpick under the rubber making sure the ends were trimmed.
This gives the rubber some extra grip and it is working for me... so far.
