It's not clear if you're just looking to source the part or looking for the 'how-to'.

Google works for both. You will probably NOT find an exact match right side crank by itself. THAT means you are not necessarily married to that model or brand or even size (170 is the length).

Check on eBay, too. "sugino crank 170"

There IS one used right crank coming due on 6/2/2011 for $22 and no current bids...

You might be able to snipe it at the last few moments.

A bike shop could get you set up, too.

Can you tell me what year and model diamondback this bikecycle is serial number is as01lo216o not 100% sure if they are zeros or o's

If the model is not right on the frame the bike has been repainted, which lowers its value. Year is not very important. Serial numbers are not very helpful, but you can try Google search for "Diamondback serial number". Also, see my tip: How to determine the year value etc of your bicycle

Stripped bicycle pedal

Better replace the pedal and most probably the crank arm as well. Sometimes a new pedal can cut the threads true again on the crank arm but the crank arm may need replacement too, depending on the damage. Remember to fit the correct side pedal. The pedal threads differ between left and right and pedals are usually marked "L" or "R".

I cannot find a replacement nut that holds the crank pedal assembly to the sprocket for a Diamondback Cobra 24 bike. I have been to numerous hardware stores and can find a nut that fits the tread, but is...

You'll need to go to a bike shop and either purchase a new crankshaft (Less that $10) or, they may just give you a spare or two they have sitting around. It's a fairly specialized nut, something you won't find at the average hardware store.

Got a 1999 Diamondback Wildwood bike and was trying to take off the crankshaft and front sproket. Do I need a special tool for that? What's the trick?

Hi, yes you do need a special tool. It's called a Crank Arm Remover. The tool is basically a modified puller that threads first into the inside of the crank, (after the bottom bracket bolt is removed) where it is bolted to the bottom bracket. Then, a second bolt is then threaded inward against the tapered shaft of the bottom bracket. Slowly the crank will lift away from the tapered shaft of the bottom bracket. Hope this helps.

Both cranks are pressured fitted on by the bolt being tighten. you need this took called a "Crank Puller"
