Question about Heating & Cooling
If the thermostat is blank is very likely that the 24 volt transformer shorted. depending on the unit it might be equipped with a fuse similar to the ones found on vehicles if not transformer will need to get replaced this is located inside the air handling unit. the source of the short might be outside next to the compressor.. if the control wires(small wires going into compresor) are exposed it is possible that a pet move them, someone cut them with a grass trimer rain or sprinklers cause them to short ( if exposed) first fix the wires them replace the fuse all should be fine.
