Unfortunatly if you ran it dry for very long it most likly burned out and will require replacement. Sorry. Thank you.

Sump pump doesn't shut off

The floats could be binding on the pump or may have developed leaks so they don't float. Another possibility is that the switch mechanism is defective

I have a flotec E100ELT sump pump in my basement. It doesn't turn on/off by the electronic switch anymore and its only 6 months old. I can plug it straight into the outlet and it runs great. But it...

I have the same problem with my E100ELT. This occurs approx. every 3-6 months due to soot collecting on the sensors. I simply remove the sensor (unclip) and clean. However, the pump just failed which is why I'm reading your comment. This is my 8th and best pump in 11 years. All others fail much earlier.

Pump will not stop runningmjn

This seems like a switch problem resulting in dry cycling. Can you turn on/off the pump by lifting the float switch? Is your switch attached or plugged in to your pump? I believe your on your model it is hard-wired. If so, bring it back to the retailer/wholesaler from whom you bought it.

My Flotec Model FPSC3200H-01 1/2hp sump pump stopped working. The motor hums but impeller will not turn.

Well I know it a dirty job but someone has to did. Unhook the pump from the plumbing and take the pump out so you can see what fell into the sump pit and is lodged in the impellers.
If you have it out already turn the impiller backwords and see if that frees it up.

Pumb only pumps a small amount out of the basin. Float needs adjusting to go all the way down and empty the basin. How do you adjust the float/bulb to travel farther down without shutting off after only a...

Flotec website shows several submersible sump pumps, and pump types:

Click product, then click on 'parts and literature' to access manual
Here is a Flotec manual:

Manual for this type of sump pump says:
Quote from manual: Automatic float switch is sealed and factory adjusted for
most home sumps. Turn-on water level is 10" - 12" above
pump base. Turn-off water level is 4" - 6".

The manual also says that running the pump when dry will ruin the seals.
This implies that the water level setting is set so the seals will not be damaged

You might be able to dig the sump deeper, but I don't know if that meets your objective.

All of sudden the sump pump doesn't kick on automatically. I can operate it manually and it works fine.

Same here - I believe I have the same model as you. Not sure how old mine is, since I just moved in.

You may need to replace the switch. I've read that the switch can fail after as little as 2 years on similar models/makes. I'm waiting to hear back from Flotec on the cost of the switch myself.

Flotec Sump Pump Tethered Float - Float seems faulty. Easy fix?

it sounds like it could be a bad float switch but most of the time the water isn't high enough for the pump to turn on. it takes alot of water to turn on a tethered float. the other pumps they sell at lowes with a real float (like the one in the toilet) are adjustable and also replicable. .
