Question about ASUS K42F A1 Notebook
Try checking the BIOS configurations, most of the times you can enter that by pressing F2 or Del keys right after starting the laptop (the black screen that shows at the very beginning before windows logo). please be careful, if you do not know what you are doing there, just restore the defaults.
