SOURCE: No sound

Mongolia Broadcasts on SECAM-D Standard. So you have to go into the SETUP MENU of your TV and select SECAM in the SYSTEM Options. In sound select 'D'. UK broadcasts in PAL - I. It is a simple matter of resetting the TV.

SOURCE: got picture but no display...

Yes it could be the microprocessor IC or the display IC. Im not sure how the display system works as I do not have a schematic for the set. now what I have seen in the past, is that when the flyback blew out it sent a spike pulse way bigger then it should have been and blew out the display sync circuit, and that is built into the microprocessor. Also I have seen in the past, when a main componet such as a flyback transformer is replaced, there are small surface mounted componets near and around the flyback that gets unsoldered. These are ussually small surface mounted type resistors or capacitors that send a pulse to sync up the display output with the horizontal and vertical sweep, or the display would not know where to be and would run so fast along the screen that you would not see it. Check out the horizontal pulses to the micro, or like I said the micro is bad. Good Luck

SOURCE: Component Video inputs do not work

I started back in the day of tubes. A family would have one set and it would be a 19" black and white. There are different resolutions now. The components probably do work, but, they don't pass the 480i signal. The satelite converter's analog signal needs to be set to 480p and the DVD needs to be set to progressive if it does have that setting. If the DVD is not a progressive scan DVD, then, the only inputs that it will show on is the analog signal. Some of the dish converters have a switch on the face for changing the resolution. If yours doesn't then put it in an analog source and go to the menu and change it there. Then move it to the component input. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Intermittent loss of picture and sound

Please fully read all I have written.

Im not at all familiar with you tv set as its a US model & im in the UK .
But your problem is common with all makes chances are you have an electrolytic capacitor which is at fault or transistor or diode.
If you are confident & have some knowledge of electrical circuits you may be able to track it down.

First thing to do is just take a good look at the tv circuit board look for any any caps that are bulging or are discoloured chances are they will be faulty and need replacing.

PlEASE BE AWARE the large cap in the power supply (psu) can hold a charge around 350 to 400 volts even when it has been switched off for days.

If you cant see any suspect caps the next step is to purchase a can of freezer from any decent electrical component shop.

The next step involves working on the set with it running WARNING DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.............

Run set untill fault appears once set has gone faulty spray one or two caps diodes & transistors in psu untill they have a slight frost on them switch set on again if it starts up wait a while then lightly spray components again if set runs good providing you keep spraying then you know the faulty area.

Next step involves getting the fault to component level, Run set again now only spray 3 or 4 components try not to get any spray anwhere else.
If set goes off you are not on the faulty parts so spray a different group parts,
Repeat this untill you have got it down to 3 or 4 component that are the culprets.
Now just spray one until you get it down to a single component.
Replace this part & hopefully you cracked it.

SOURCE: No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

Hi, we just bought a new Samsung 46 inch Smart TV and a Samsung home theatre system HT-D5530.. I just want to know how do I get the TV sound to play through the surround sound system?

First, is the unidentified TV the actual source of audio (self-tuning from the air) or does its programming actually originate externally, say, a Cable Box? What does the TV's manual say?

If the sound actually comes from an external source treat that source like any other hi-end audio component and attach its highest quailty audio directly to the HT according to ITS manual.

NO signal ever benefits from multiple connections or 'hops' and it gets expensive zig-zagging a signal all over the room. K-I-S-S is the word of the day. Run the BEST version of any signal directly from its source to the BEST electronics that will present it to you for consumption. The separation of audio and video inputs and outputs on a device is what allows and ENCOURAGES the direction of each signal to the BEST electronics that can process it. Example: your TV does not have the best speakers in the room so why send it any high-end audio?

TV Guide program does not activate or work. How

This sounds like you have a Samsung DLP TV with the built in TV guide system. Unfortunately what you are doing is the ONLY fix for it as there is no way in the system to deactivate the guide. The only work around is by using a cable or satellite box connected to composite or component inputs. This bypasses the internal tuning system therefore eliminating the internal TV guide system. Please take a few moments to rate my answer, Thank you..

My mitsubishi CS-35405

This condition can be easily fix by replacing and IC that is the vertical amplifier.
The number is something like LA7835 or LA7836, this IC is mounted on a heatsink.
Do a search in google for it.
