Question about LG RH266 Recorder
Hi, I am just wondering if I can connect my FPS2000 to my DVD player 5900.
Here is a link where you can see the inputs that FPS2000 has: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Cambridge-Soundworks-FPS2000-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/522ag617/t/2/
It has a digital input, and an pair of analog input as well.
My DVD player is DVP5990. Here is the detail info for it:
Is there anyway I can connect them by a certain adapter?

First I recommend that you upgrade the factory firmware to the latest version. The current version is .31 and available here. Click "I accept" to accept the license agreement and start the download. Open the zip file and burn the file named DVP5990_37.bin to a CD. Put the CD in the DVD player and it will begin the upgrade and open the DVD tray. Remove the CD but leave the DVD tray in the open position. After just under 10 minutes (6-8) the DVD player will report that the update was successful and close the DVD tray. Press the setup button, go to preferences scroll down the choices (past the bottom of the screen) and select reset to default values. The player will reboot.
Next press Setup
select the Preference menu
Press 1,3,8,9,3,1 on the remote control.
Use the up/down arrows to select region "0" which means all regions.
If you ever get a disc that won't play correctly due to a region error, just use the code above to select the correct region for the disc and you will still be able to play it.

Two things come to mind: copy protection and resolution settings.
The TV may not allow copy protected material to come from your LG, or the sampling frequency may be unacceptable. On page 15 of the manual it talks about 96kHz and 48kHz frequency settings. The third thing to check is the vertical resolution using the RES button on the front panel. SDTV is 480, and HDTV is anything above that. Using the HDMI is supposed to allow upconvert to 1080i max if your set can use that resolution.
