How to clean keurig coffee maker

It might be time to clean your keurig. Fill the water tank with vinegar and run through about 5-6 glasses leaving time in between to let the vinegar clean. After running all of the vinegar through it should be brewing regularly again.

De scale kruig coffe maker

Empty the reservoir of water and fill it with four (4) cups of white vinegar. Run the Keurig WITHOUT a K-Cup until the vinegar has been run through. Rinse out the reservoir with hot water, dry it, then fill with cold water normally used to make coffee. Run the maker 3 times, or until vinegar taste disappears.

Good luck!

My Kerig machine started shorting the amount of water delivered. Choosing the 8oz gives about 6 oz of liquid; same for 10oz giving 8oz,

Sounds like you need to de-scale the coffee maker. Use white vinegar instead of water, and run it through until the vinegar is gone (no coffee or filter basket). Then use clean cold water to purge all the vinegar by running the water through the system the same way.

If this doesn't work, and you've purchased your coffee maker within the last year, try giving Keurig a call at 866-901-BREW. Explain your problem, and they may be able to help you or offer you some sort of replacement.

How do I clean my B60 Keurig of scale

Empty the water...
start with half distilled water... half white vinegar...
just run it all day... take a break and let the vinegar work... it will be heated up in the main tank... then pushed out to all hoses and sensors etc.etc...

enpty the container... wash it out... fill it with filtered or distilled water and run that until you no longer taste/smell the vinegar...
consider buying a brita pitcher and use that water for your Keurig... I do... and my unit goes for a long long time before it needs a vinegar washing...

P.S. dont use C.L.R. :(
It tastes bad.

Descale???

Fill it with a mixture of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water. Run it through. Run 2 or 3 loads of fresh water to rinse the vinegar out. The scale will come out with the vinegar and the first rinse.

B60.Coffee maker was working fine untill yesterday, now brews 1 cup and pump starts but does not pump and machine shuts off. Help me. Bill Cobb

Hi Bill, sounds like similar a problem I had with my Keurig Coffee maker. Your pump may be plugged with mineral deposit build-up from your water. Do you use regular tap water or filter it in any manner?
Have you ever cleaned the insides with vinegar? Empty your reservoir of water, and pour a bottle of white vinegar into the reservoir. Run the maker through several cycles to ensure the vinegar has worked its way throughout the ‘guts’ of your maker, and then let it sit for 2-4 hours.
Empty any remaining vinegar from the reservoir and then cycle at least two full reservoirs of water through to flush the vinegar out. When you stop smelling vinegar in your coffee cup, you’ll know when there’s no vinegar left inside.
You should probably clean you Keurig once a year, or more depending on how heavily you use it.
SWMBO tells me you’ll find similar instructions above in the Owners Manual or you can check out this link: http://www.ehow.com/how_4927372_clean-keurig-coffee-machine.html

When trying to brew a cup of coffee it drips slow like it is clogged

Hi, RICHBURG511. Sounds like similar a problem I had with my Keurig Coffee maker. Your pump may be plugged with mineral deposit build-up (calcium) from the minerals normally found in your water. Do you use regular tap water or filter it in any manner?
When was the last time you de-scaled your Keurig? Empty your reservoir of water, and pour a bottle of white vinegar into the reservoir. Run the maker through several cycles to ensure the vinegar has worked its way throughout the ‘guts’ of your maker, and then let it sit for 2-4 hours.
Empty any remaining vinegar from the reservoir and then cycle at least two full reservoirs of water through to flush the vinegar out. When you stop smelling vinegar in your coffee cup, you’ll know when there’s no vinegar left inside.
Here’s the ‘poop’ straight from Keurig, direct. Just follow the links.

Hello,

I assume your coffe maker used to produce more coffee for each use. Roughly 6 ounces per large cup, and now is only making 3 oz. cups.

If your coffee maker is sputtering and not able to "suck" enough water to fill your cups of coffee it is most likely due to cavitation caused in the little pump due to a stoppage, which is most likely lime or scale buildup somewhere in the pump line.

To fix it, don't take your coffee maker apart. Get a bottle of distilled white vinegar, and pour it straight into the empty water resevoir. Press brew with no coffee pod so you are just running the vinegar through the system. Pour the vinegar out of the cup and back into the resevoir. Add some ice to cool it off. Repeat about 10 times. This should clear out the toughest lime scale clog.

After you notice the cups are filling full of water, Replace the vinegar with fresh water. Run about 5 or 6 cups of fresh water through the system to get rid of the vinegar.

Make coffee/tea/whatever.
