You can have the card inserted to a card adapter for usb then have it connected to a computer. It should appear at 'My Computer'. You should be able to format it to FAT32 by right clicking it and selecting format drive.

How to unlock card on CASIO Exilim EX-Z700 camera???

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When i insert my memory card into my brand new CASIO EX-55O/0 camera,a message comes up and says "card error"

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out (of which your camera was made before SDHC. You can only use 2GB or less cards). Other causes include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

I have a casio exilim exz280 and i can't find what kind of memory card compatability it has anywhere. my main question is, will it support a SDHC 16gb card?

The manual does not specify a maximum size but says it does support an SDHC card. The smallest SDHC card is 4GB which is enough for 29 minutes of video recording. Therefore 8GB would seem adequate, although there seems no reason why 16GB should not be supported.

You can downloaded the manual free, here:-

Why won't Kingston SDHC 4 gb card work in Casio EX Z57 camera

The EX-Z57 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While an SDHC card will fit into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Hi I bought 16GB SDHC Transcend class 10 memory card. I formatted on my computer (Windows Vista), but when I put in the camera it doesn't work, black screen. Please help me, why doesn't it work, am I...

You didn't tell us the model of your camera so it's difficult to say whether or not your camera will accept such a large card. I can tell you this, however, ....never format a card on a computer if you intend to use it in a camera. It puts the wrong operating system on the card. Always format in the camera. Try that and see if the card works.

Does it support a 4 GB SD HC card format?

No. The EX-Z55 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. You'll need to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Hi can you tell me how to get my camera to recognise my sd card on my casio exilim ex-z500. I have tried reformatting but this hasn't worked.

Is it a SD card, or a SDHC (High Capacity) card of more than 8GB? Because the EX-Z500 natively does not support Large-SDHC.

Power off the camera. Press and keep pressed the MENU key, and while doing this, turn on the camera via the ON button. Press the MENU key until the firmware revision is displayed. I suspect you will see V1.01 or V1.00.

And Large-SDHC support is only present in release V1.02 of the Z500 firmware.

You should have the firmware updater-checker software; if not, you can find it on Casio website:

http://support.casio.com/download.php?rgn=4&cid=001&pid=170

This should fix it up. Let me know if it works.

I bought 2 16gb sdhc cards and cant format them in

you can try to format them on your computer if you have sd drive. Otherwise I would suggest returning those ones and get something different. Sandisk is a good brand.
