The dishwasher does not work at all and there is water in the bottom. I tried to see if there was a blockage but couldn't find anything.

Usually when this occurs on an older model the motor has stuck. It requires shutting
off power at the circuit breaker that feeds the dishwasher. Then manually rotating
the motor shaft either by moving the fan blade located in the metal housing inside the
slot near the plastic pump (at the back of the motor itself for round motors).
or move the aluminum fins which are easily seen on the front of square pumps.
This applies only to
single pump units like Hotpoint, Kenmore, or GE. for others, such as Frigidaire or
Haier, often the drain pump has failed. Remember to give a little silicone spray on
the bearing ends and to make sure the disposal is working on the sink if you have one
since most dishwashers drain through them.

Lg dishwasher ldf7932st motor starts but doesn't work

Is the water turned off? Dishwashers normally start a wash by emptying any waste water tipped into them during loading. Problem could therefore be a blockage somewhere, most likely in pump inflow under the filters in bottom of machine. Lift these out to check. Also check your sink drain isn't blocked and preventing the water from being pumped out.

Dishwasher will not drain

I had a similer issue with my kitchenaid dishwasher , turned out that the water inlet valve was starting to go, allowing to much water into tub at times , so drain cycle would not remove it all. . There is a diaphragm in the water inlet valve that is operated by a solinoid that you can check, but you would have to remove it an test it. Hope this helps

My Miele dishwasher has water in the bottom of it and won't run

Check the impeller on the pump to make SURE it's turning freely. There could be a piece of debris wedged in there - like glass or a screw from a pot handle. If this is redundant, I apologize.

Need a manual for Bosch SGS53c12gb dishwasher The check water light is on and the machine is not draining

Hi,

Firstly, here's the manual for the SGS53C12GB/XX you requested:

https://portal.bsh-partner.com/TCcustomBSH/controller/download_file?PDFOBID=qcyk3cjcdcso0pdmdb---43k&UMOBID=qcyk3facdcso0pdmdb---43k

The manual will tell you that the check water light (tap icon) is a problem with the water-supply, but this warning light also illuminates when the machine fails to pump out.

Your problem is most likely a blockage in the sump or the drain-hose or possibly a defective drain pump motor. The drain pump impeller can get jammed on these.

First, with the power switch on the control panel in the ON position, open the door and locate the mushroom float in the bottom of the washing compartment/tub.

belectric_237.jpg

Lift the float (about 3/4 inch) and listen for a humming from the drain pump motor. If you can hear the motor, keep the float lifted and the water level in the washer starts to drop. If the motor hums, but the water level doesn't drop, you either have a blockage in the drainage system or the impeller may be jammed or become detached from the spindle. If you can't hear the motor with the float raised, the drain pump motor may have failed.

If you can hear the motor, next check for blockages in the drainage system. First remove the filters from the bottom of the washing compartment and check for any debris/blockages here (see pages 19-20 of the user manual I supplied. Next, if the drain hose is attached directly to the waste-trap under your sink, disconnect the hose from the spigot on the trap and check for any blockages in the end of the hose or in the spigot on the trap itself. If you haven't found any blockages in either of these places, pull the dishwasher from under the counter and follow the hose all the way back to the rear of the dishwasher, squeezing and flexing the hose gently as you go. You may be able to feel a blockage in the hose and the gentle flexing may break-up any blockage. Don't be aggressive with the hose as it could split, particularly if it's old.

Finally, if the drain hose is attached to the waste-trap, make sure you aren't running the dishwasher with the plug in the sink as this can create a vacuum and prevent the dishwasher from pumping out.

Hope this helps. Please try the above and then get back to me with your findings if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

Once the dishwasher had finished the bottom was full of dirty water which won't drain away and now it wont work at all

More than likely a failed water pump, or blockage that has created a discharge problem. This could cause the circut breaker to trip. So, it is kinda messy, but if you drain the water by hand baling, clean or check the interior bottom d/w discharge intake & screen, reset the breaker, and restart. If the system still does not drain it's probably pump failure. I don't think people actual replace the pump, they just get a new d/w unit. Unless there is warranty coverage.

F9 in on the display

I am assuming the F9 is showing up only in one of the two drawers. It means the controller has a fault. Cannot do much short of replacing it.

Have you tried to turn the power off and back on?

It looks something like this. You could try checking with the controller on the other unit but don't want to end up with two faulty ones. So may have to order one and try.

Hope this helps. Please rate the solution.

F9 beeping

Hi,
Its a most common problem in this kind of model. The reason for F9 display in your washer is that due to a electronic malfunction that occured in your unit. You cant replace any of the faulty part in your washer and its very difficult to identify the faulty area in your unit. So if you think you can do it by your own then the answer is "NO"..
Best way to fix your problem is that call your authorized service centre and they will fix your problem for sure..

My dishwasher will not drain. The water stays in the bottom of the dishwasher. When it should drain, I do not hear anything happening where I used to hear the pump working. Is my pump bad?

Bottom wash arm

there is a blockage but may not be obvious. arm turns only by water spraying out of the angled jets at the end of the arm. take arm off, run water thro the centre hole and this is udually enough to force the debris to the jets. clean out and check
