ok so 1242 is sensor power supply high input ,0703 is detected de-acceleration with no brake switch activity and 0702 is fault with trans control unit i'd guess your having running/accelerating problems ,have the codes wiped and road test and see if problems continue if they do i'd get the ECU checked out as a first step

Try removing the power supply and battery. Remove the hard drive and RAM. Power it up from the power supply alone. If it goes to BIOS, that has checked the system board. If not, you have a main board issue.

Replaced power supply cleaned everything

Wow, that's crazy, because I would have bet it was the power supply too. I would measure the new supply voltages, just to make sure it isn't bad too. Next, unplug all extra devices except your motherboard and hard drive. This will eliminate them from the problem, and if one of them is bad, you'll know. Hard drive is probably good, but when the computer initializes the cd, dvd drive, etc., it overloads the power supply and it shuts down, as they're designed to do. Could be a part of the motherboard, but don't think so, just doesn't sound like it. Might be monitor, notice if the computer shuts down just after it turns on. Check the speaker wires to make sure they're not shorted (if happens once in a blue moon). I don't think connecting to MSIE 8 shut it down, but that's the onery thing about computers- you just never know till you know. An afterthought, is since I guess you were having problems before (hence changing the power supply), you could have gotten infected with a bug of some kind, that left it's mark in your bios. In that case, you have to reflash your bios, or have it replaced (on older machines). If it comes to that, you might google the problem of flashing your bios on your Gateway, and see what comes up. Good luck, I had a blue screen problem once similar to this, and just scrapped the system for a new one.

I get no sound

Please get checked the power cord or try running it on batteries (just to confirm the power supply)
Once the power comes in, it will work.
Please confirm that the power-supply is ok and volume is NOT muted.

I have a 5 year old Dell Dimension 8300. Lately I have been having problems getting it to come on and stay on. Once running, it stays running great. Today it wont stay on. I hit the power and sometimes it...

It is likely your power supply is failing. When you press your power button a signal goes through the motherboard to the power supply, then the PS comes on. I would try a replacement power supply first, you can get a used one for less than $20.

System Shutting down without any messages on ASUS P5-ND mainboard

Power Supply may be. Check how much power is needed by your motherboard & all peripherals. I think a 450-500W power supply should be ok.

L7VMM2 shuts down

I think you have overheating problems
Check all fans are working and vanes are clean including power supply one
Check heat sink on CPU that the vanes etc are clean and clear of dust and fluff
Give case a vacuum out including all vent holes also the ones on inside case of power supply
see how you go this problem is usually the cause of persistent reboot

Viewsonic n3251w - no power

A lot of TVs are having their power boards go bad due to a poor brand of capacitor (CapXon usually).

If small problems are noticed with the tv, the solution is to replace the capacitors. However, once the TV gets to the point where there is no power at all any more (not even a stand-by light) then the power supply has to be replaced.

Visit Viewsonic's website or call your local Viewsonic repair shop to get a price on this board. They are usually under $100.

42PF9956/37 SHUTSDOWN...

Ok. I got my tv back on.
I pulled off the back cover and found the relay that was clicking.
I have two blue relays next to each other that click when the power is pushed.
I placed a hair dryer over the relays for about a minute.
Once heated up, it only took 4 tries to get the TV to stay on.
