SOURCE: Sebo Automatic X1 vacuum cleaner doesn't produce much suction.

If the motor really is working, the problem is most likely to be that there's a blockage somewhere, and on this excellent vacuum cleaner there aren't too many places to look. You've probably already looked in the inspection flap on the underside. If not, that's the first place to look. Next is to separate the bag compartment from the base of the machine (press and hold the button at bottom front of bag compartment and just pull the two sections apart - if this hasn't been done for some time, a gentle levering with something like the plastic handle of a dish brush can help). Then look down the rearmost vacuum tube to check that it's clear, also make sure the little sieve on the other tube is clear. That's all for the base section. Now open the bag compartment, remove the bag and check that tube all the way through the hose.
Another possibility is air leakage, and it does happen on older machines that the plastic tube onto which the attachments fit becomes so worn that it no longer seals properly in the hole in the base (where it lives for normal floor vacuuming).  You could also have split in the flexible hose, of course.

If none of this reveals a problem, the motor probably isn't as healthy as you think it is.
I hope this helps. Any questions, just post again and I'll see what more I can do.  I value your feedback, so please rate this response.

SOURCE: windtunnel dual v vacuum cleaner brushes do not

when you turn this model on, the only way to have the brushes turn is to move the brush control switch to on and then tilt the handle back. if all of this is ok but they do ot spin then check to see if you can turn them by hand with the machine off and unplugged. check the lint filter underneath the unit. if you cannot turn the brushes by hand then your issue is most likely the turbine. requiring shop service.

SOURCE: I am an 85 year

The Virtual Wall Unit emits a beam of infrared light that the robot vacuum will not cross. It is used to create a barrier of sorts to confine the vacuum to a certain area or room. I hope this answers your question.

Good luck from Detroit, MI, USA.

Clogged Sebo automatic X-1 vacuum

Hi There,

So when this light is displaying, it's says "Bag Full or Clog" on the indicator. If you have changed the bag, and it's still showing this light, it means that you either have a clog in the vacuum, or your filters are dirty, which is reducing the suction and making the machine think that your bag is full. If your machine is actually cutting off, this indicates that your machine is definitely clogged, or something is stuck inside which is causing the motor to not get air flow, and cauing the machine to over heat. When it shuts off like this, it's a protection system that prevents any damage from happening to the motor when it can't breathe and starts to overheat.

My guess is that there is probably a clog in the machine somewhere, or the filters are dirty. Here's what you may do to diagnosis the machine, and try to isolate the clog to find out where it is in the vacuum.

Step 1. Remove the hose and wand assembly from the vacuum cleaner completely. You may do this by pressing the two tabs on the end of the hose that plugs into the vacuum cleaner:

cca2760.jpg
With the hose and the wand removed from the vacuum, it should look like this:

b7c34c5.jpg
Step 2. Now turn the vacuum cleaner on and check to see if the red light comes on while the hose and the wand have been removed. If the light comes on, then this indicates that your filter is dirty (or the PCB electric board is bad if the filter is clean) and needs to be replaced.

Step 2. Re-attach the hose and wand back on the vacuum, but just the end of the hose that goes into the vacuum cleaner, leave the wand out of the vacuum cleaner so it looks like this:

db25806.jpg
Turn the machine on now as if you were using the attachment hose to clean corners or above the floor and see if the red light comes on here. Also listen to the noise the motor makes and see if the noise changes when you put the hose back on the vacuum cleaner. If the red light appears, or if the motor makes a higher pitched noise now, then this indicates that you have a clog in your hose or wand. You may verify this by remove the hose again from the vacuum, and also removing the wand from the hose by pressing the hose release button on the wand and pulling the hose out of the wand. Look down both of the parts and see if you can see thru both sides. If you're not able to see light through the hose, or the wand, this indicates this is where the clog is. You may take a metal clothes hanger, and try removing the clog this way.

Step 3. If the red light did not display with the wand not inserted into the vacuum, put the wand back into the vacuum cleaner as if you were vacuuming the floors:

1a089d0.jpg
Turn the machine on, and see if the red light comes on in this position. If the light does come on, then this indicates that you have a clog in the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. To check and see the clog in the bottom of the machine, I find it easiest to remove the upper bag housing from the vacuum cleaner completely so you're just looking at the bottom power nozzle of the vacuum cleaner. There's a button at the bottom of the machine that is either a grey, or yellow color depending on what color your vacuum is. Simply press this button in, and lift upwards on the handle or the bag housing at the same time:

2b91587.jpg
Step 4. After the bag housing has been removed, turn the lower part of the vacuum upside down so the brushes are facing upwards. There's a little orange flap on the bottom of the machine that is actually a clog port. Almost every time there is a clog in a Sebo, this is where I typically find the clog. Open up this orange colored trap door, and look to see if you can see any obstruction or clog underneath of here:

08da832.jpg
Step 5. You may rotate the neck of the power nozzle part towards you so that you may look inside to see if you see any obstructions inside:

c034305.jpg
Step 5. You may also remove the brushes from the vacuum and look behind the brushes at the suction port, or the area where the suction goes through the vacuum to see if you see anything obstructing the suction here.

These are really the only places that the Sebo can get clogged. If you checked all of these areas, and the red light is still displaying, this means that your PC Board that controls this indicator has gone bad, and needs to be replaced. If this is the case, please just reply to this repair using the comment field, and I'll be more then happy to help you through the replacement of replacing the PCB Board.

I hope this answer was helpful to you, and you were able to find the clog and fix the problem. If you found my repair helpful, please be sure to rate the repair by clicking the 4 thumbs up icons in the top right hand corner, or by leaving feedback for me. This is really what keeps repair professionals continue to post free repair solutions rather then just the paid questions. It's really appreciated when you take the time and do this if the repair was helpful.

I need an instruction manual for a EUROLAB robot vacuum cleaner Auto Cleaner Intelligent Floor Vac please

I have a Eurolab and I can give you a couple of tips...
Spot = concentric circles from a start point and will continue for 4mins
Clean = will clean until battery runs out then go to base.
Max = will clean until battery runs out and then return to base, charge and go again.

If you interupt any of the settings you will need to manually return unit to charger (either by picking it up- or turning it off on the unit - then turning it on again while holding down "Max" on the unit). It will then find its way home. The two different settings on the seperate little room divider are about how big the doorway distance is ie 1 metre or 4-7 metres (somethinig like that) to prevent it going into a sep room. There is a little filter that needes to be cleaned 1 or twice a fortnight - just to help with suction. The auto settings on the charger unit should be self explainatory but I just set mine off in the morning while I am doing other things and haven't go around to setting it yet. I am very happy with mine and my floor has all of those loose bits gone. I empty the pod weekly.
You can't make it go back with the remote - or if you can it is not mentioned in the manual and I haven't worked it out yet.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
Brittany

Dyson DC24 roller bar doesn't work from first try - and this is my second one

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC24.

Your machine has two switches on it's upper body - a red on/off switch, and a silver brush control switch. When you press the red on/off switch and recline the machine into the vacuuming position, the brushbar should rotate automatically - you do not need to turn the brushbar on manually every time you use the cleaner. If you want to vacuum a hard floor or a delicate rug, you can turn the brushbar off using the silver brush control switch.

It's important to note that the brushbar will never rotate when the cleaner is standing in the upright position.

If you find that the brushbar will not rotate when you turn the machine on and recline it into the vacuuming position, the brushbar may need resetting. For directions on doing this, please follow the steps shown in the video below. When pressing the reset button in the red recess on the side of the cleaner head, it may help to use something like the eraser-end of a pencil, and to push it in until you hear and feel an audible 'click'.

This should resolve the issue, but if you need any further assistance, please call us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1866MDYSON (US), so we can help you.

Kind regards,

Jack

Once vacuum is turned on and switched to a certain carpet level, the red light begins to flash and the brush stops spinning. How do we fix this?

Hi there,

The brushbar is designed to stop rotating if you've set it at a level too low for the pile of the carpet you're trying to clean. The indicator light will flash to warn you of this. Using the cleaner with the brushbar raised to the next level on the selector pad should prevent this issue from occurring.

If you have any further concerns about your vacuum, please get in touch with us directly on 1866MYDYSON. One of our experts will be happy to provide the assistance you need.

Kind regards,

Scooba battery light turns red as soon as irobot starts

Do you leave the battery on charge long enough? Try 4-hours up to overnight. If so, then the battery is probably at the end of it's useful life. Getting a new battery depends on cost versus life expectancy of the robot and whether it does the job you want it to do.
