No arranca windows por el problema de windows root\system32 \hal.dll.

Hi! Welcome to
You need to get an Windows Operating system XP
Option 1:
Boot from your CD and follow the directions to start Recovery Console. Then:
Attrib -H -R -S C:\Boot.ini DEL C:\Boot.ini BootCfg /Rebuild Fixboot
Option 2:
Boot from your CD and follow the directions below to start Recovery Console.
Insert the Setup compact disc (CD) and restart the computer. If prompted, select any options required to boot from the CD. When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts; choose the repair or recover option by pressing R.
If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access from the Recovery Console. When prompted, type the Administrator password. (if you didn't create one try pressing enter).
At the system prompt, type Recovery Console commands; type help for a list of commands, or help commandname for help on a specific command.
Most likely you will need to expand the file from the CD. The command would be expand d:\i386\hal.dl_ c:\windows\system32\hal.dll. Substitute d: for the drive letter of your CD. Once you have expanded the file type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer.
TIP: Recovering Windows XP using the Recovery Console
Hope this resolution fix the problem on your computer. Thanks for contacting Fixya. Bye for now.

My notino ul100 will not reboot even after the F7 procedure

Remove the hard drive this is very easy. Connect to another pc running xp using a USB caddie. On the notino drive check the windows directory. If you that there are no files only folders then copy explorer.exe to the windows directory. Restore HDD to Notino. Recovery using F7 should work now. This is because the Higrade recovery uses the file explore.exe to validate the destination drive for recovery ( even if file explorer.exe is blank file) This can also be done without removing the HDD. When you get to the screen with the two GREEN pointers move it aside and you will see a dos prompt. Copy explorer.exe from a USB memory stick to D:\windows\ the usb stick should be drive G: Then reboot. It works honestly good luck Switcher

Recovery cd here is what show up when i turn on

You did not mention what is the manufacturer and what is the operating system you have but you can try following:

hal.dll is the file which protects your hardware devices to access the memory directly. HAL ( Harware Abstraction Layer).

To repair hal.dll we would require the recovery discs else you can try recovery console in your computer

1. press the power button and keep tapping on F 11 for HP computer and ctrl+F11 for Dell computer
2. check if you get a Recovery Manager
3. you can perform a recovery from here

My notino uL100 notebook laptop isnt working! PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you get the message to press f10 at all during the boot process? If so please press f10 and follow the recovery procedures. All Hi grade systems without disks have a recovery partition built into the hard drive and you access this via the F10 key during boot up. Please let me know how you go with this.

The webcam dont work anymore

Okay, the driver for the webcam (hal.dll) needs to be reinstalled.

Do the following:

Press the windows key and R
Type in command
In the command prompt that comes up:
Type in cd C:\Windows\System32
Type in taskkill /f /im "hal.dll"
Type in del hal.dll
Then restart your computer

What taskkill does is kill the webcam application that is using the driver so you can delete it. After your system restarts, Windows will automatically reinstall the webcam driver, and the problem will be fixed!

Compaq pc recovery problem

hal.dll is a dynamic-link-library.
Not necessarilly a part of your operating system.
could be a printer or other peripheral device driver.
try re-installing all of your other hardware device drivers.
