Question about JVC Everio GZ-MG130 Camcorder

1 Answer

Cannot write to disc

I use the Everio Share Station to make disc from my camera. I have used it several times very successfully. Just recently I tried to make a disc and it starts out great, then the camera gives me the error that it "cannot write to disc". I'm using disc out of the SAME pack that I have used before. It either tells me that or it tells me that the disc is not compatible. It's obviously writing something to the disc because when I try it again, it tells me that the disc has already been used and to try another one. I have gotten another error message saying the USB cable is not compatible. It's the SAME one I've always used too. What is the problem all of the sudden???

I have a JVC Everio GZ-MG130 Camcorder and I connect it to the Everio Share Station. Neither one is connected to a computer. Those are the error messages that I get on the camcorder.

Yes, those are the DVD's that I have always used, but now it doesn't work. Like I said before, I used a DVD out of the SAME pack that I have used before and it won't write to the disc.

Is this connected to a Vista computer or has Windows SP 3 been installed recently?

Is this the unit?

It says the Everio only uses DVD-R or DVD-RW DVDs. Is that the type of DVDs you are using?

I am making discs using the everio share station. Even though I have the date showing when I play it through the camera, it does not show up when I play the disc back. How do I get that to work?

unfortunately, with everio share station will not allow you to do it that way. You really, absolutely need the date and time on the video, you will have to capture the date and time with another device. For example, the one touch video capture vc500 will do that for you. To my knowledge, there are no software out there that can capture date and time at the moment.

After burning home movies on dvd - they won't play on dvd player or computer --- says disk error. Software says disc was successfully copied

Be sure you purchased compatible discs for your DVD player, ie. DVD +R or -R. Some players won't support both.

Unable to burn vidio onto DVD_error code FF037303

hey i have also had the same problem, but mine was as simple as dodgy dvd's. i bought about 25 in bulk and that same code ff037303 came up with about 10 of them. even when i tried to create dvd in another program it got to 98% then stopped. go and buy new dvds and try again. great camcorder though.
