Question about Cell Phones
No it shouldn't happen and it doesn't happen normally.
IMEI no. is unique for every cell phone and if both of your friend are using the same network sooner or later they might get a notification from their cellular network.
It is best that they should go to the nearest Nokia Sales and Service center and report this incident.
