i have the same issue. i was told it was either a cam shaft sensor or crank shaft sensor. i have driving with the heat on hi to get around. i changed different igniton stuff already. im trying to find out if it would be quicker to change sensors or change motor. [email protected]

I have the same problem. Once the car warmes up The ignishion system cuts in and out. I have replaced the coil, crank angle sencer and the ignition module. Didn't seam to affect it at all.

I am looking for 2007 Ford Taurus SHO or SES

Ford didn't make the Taurus sho in 2007. The sho were made between 1989-1999 and then 2010-present. In 2007 the Taurus was only offered in SE and SEL trim.

Can i take parts off a 96 ford taurus to fix a 94 ford taurus?

Not all of the body parts will fit, but the drive trains were identical. So were the electronics. As long as one of the cars is not a SHO, They had a lot more mazda parts.

Drive 5 miles and starts up fine, drive 30 miles and wont restart

Sounds like a fuel pump overheating. Drive until it wont start then check the fuel pressure. If no gauge when it wont start try some starting fluid. You should also check your fuel pump relay.

Only cold air

Well the heat from a car comes from the coolant which warms up from the engine being on, so if your engine is off, the coolant wont warm up and flow through the heater core, and you wont get warm air. 95% of cars are like this.

Car completly shuts down and wont restart for 10 minutes

Yo, sounds like a crank position sensor to me.

The next time it happens watch the tach & see if jumps around a bit.

The CPS is directly below the water pump and is a common problem with these cars. (I have an 89 SHO as well)

The car will die and not throw a code. After a few minutes to dry up it'll start up as if nothing wrong....it can happen (shut off) anytime at any speed.

Not an easy fix...goto SHOforum and look up the 60k service how to and dig in.

good luck.
