Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
If you have WIN 7 you have to go to CONTROL PANEL and choose SOUNDS. The tab that opens
has Playback and the next tab is RECORDING. Click on it. Make sure there is a checkmark on MICROPHONE. If you dont see MICROPHONE do a right click and make sure SHOW DISABLED DEVICES and SHOW CONNECTED DEVICES is checked. Anything you missed will be there from now on. Hope this helps.
Vista and XP are about the same and sometimes you can just right click on the speaker on the bar where the clock is and choose MIXER SETINGS or RECORDING DEVICES to get to the same area for adjustment.
