Sounds like you have been infected! run a anti virus /malware/trojan scan ASAP. I would install several types from various free trials and run each one (not all at once). I say install more than one because often times, what one does not pick up, another will. make certain after intalling that you update them before running.
also open your task manager (hit control/alt/delete all at once) and see what is running in the background that you havent seen before and check /close the unfamiliar program
also go into your control panel/install/uninstall programs and see if you inadvertently installed something while online. again, look for an UNFAMILIAR program (and chk the web to make certain it is not something you need!). UNinstall what ever it is.
Always, read very carefully, when installing something new that you are not getting all sorts of toolbars and added junk with the program. often times folks simply ckick "yes" "intall" as they go along and do not look down to see the added junk. Notice how they have boxes checked for you! uncheck those!
Once you have it all cleaned up you can uninstall the antvirus programs you do not need.

Want to use google as my homepage, but can't get it back. ask .com has taken over.

The Ask.com toolbar is often installed when Oracle's Java or Adobe's Flash Player are upgraded unless you specifically uncheck the box. It's a nuisance but easily corrected.
  • Close all open browsers.
  • Uninstall the ask.com toolbar from the Control Panel.

  • Open Internet Explorer. Click the gear in the upper right corner then select Internet Options from the menu.

Why does this come up? There appears to be an error with your installation. Please reinstall the application. Always pop up everyone I

If this error appears every time you start the computer, then there is a program in your system start up that isn't properly installed. I can't tell you which program without more information. A quick search shows that this is a common problem with DriverCure and FileCure. Uninstall/reinstall them if you have one of these programs.

If you don't know which program it is, then you need to go through your startup programs one by one.

Press "windows key + R" to bring up the run dialog box.
Type in "msconfig" and click "OK."
If the UAC dialog box comes up, click "Continue."
Click on the "Startup" tab.

It will display a list of every program that runs when your computer boots. Uncheck the first box for the program that you think might be causing the problem and then click "OK."

A box asking if you'd like to restart your computer will appear. Click "Restart Now."

A dialog box will appear notifying you of changes to your startup, click "OK" and msconfig will reopen.

If the error reoccurs, then uncheck the next item on the startup tab and repeat until you find the one causing the error. Make note of the name of the last thing you unchecked and uninstall/reinstall that program.

To get rid of the startup notification box, simply check "Don't show this message..." before clicking "OK"

Plug the cable from the phone to computer. You should get a pop up on the phone asking what you want to do. Select "Disk Drive" If you don't get a pop up go to
  • Settings
  • Connect to PC
  • Either set the default option to disk drive
  • and/or check the box "Ask Me"

Ok...so after i did a system restore after finding out that had some viruses and such on my computer, the computer did the system restore completely and successfully, but now there is a pop up that...

You'll have to uninstall the Dell Support software.

Go to Start > Control Panel

Then click on Add or Remove programs, see if it's in the list (Dell support).

If it's not there, then it will be in your Services or Startup, go to Start > Run... type "msconfig" without the quotes. This will open the System Configuration utility.

Go to the Services tab, and check the box that says "Hide all Microsoft services". Now look for a Dell service that is causing the pop-up error, and UNCHECK the box to disable it.

Do the same step again for the Startup tab.

When using internet sys runs very slow i'ts new normal prgrams installed pop up says to increase memory how

Does it specify if it's PHYSICAL MEMORY or VIRTUAL MEMORY?

If it was virtual memory, which is normal to receive Windows notifications about when running low, Windows would ask if you would like it to fix it for you; it would run its course in the background for a bit & ask for a restart.

If it asks to increase physical memory, then there's probably a program installed & your computer does not meet the memory requirements of that application; Although if it's really new and you have not added any new programs, there's a possibility that one (or more, if applicable) memory modules may not be working. they could either be busted or loosely seated. Yes, this DOES happen for computers out of the box.

Memory modules can be purchased from computer/electronics or select office supplies shops. You'll just have to find out what type of memory you have, how much is currently installed, & how much more the computer can support.

It's not as complicated as it sounds. Just click here to download & install the latest version of CPU-Z.After installation, just run the program & click on the Mainboard, Memory & SPD tabs, as seen below

rictutero_8.jpg

This will help figure out whit kind of memory modules & how much of it will have to be purchased.

Uninstall the hotkey software from Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs in XP, Programs and Features in Vista, 7)

Alternatively install Startup Control Panel and uncheck the program from startup. The program works great in XP, for Vista and 7 there is more playing around:
  • Download the zip file
  • Click Extract All files
  • Right click on the program
  • Choose Run as Administrator
  • Install the program
  • Open Control Panel and choose Classic View
  • Run Startup
  • Uncheck something in HKLM and it will duplicate
  • Close Startup
  • Wait for Windows to pop up a box
  • Click Reinstall using recommended settings
  • Allow the program to run
  • Now you can remove the programs from startup.
  • Restart your computer

Hi, am using Acer Aspire 3935. The Acer Backup dialog box always pop out, even I click cancel, still keep poping out, ...

It is most likely popping up because it's recommending that you do a backup, if you use the program but simply don't want it to constantly be popping up, you should be able to find the program in the list of programs in your start menu, and from there there should be an option to turn off reminders/notifications.
If you do not use the program and simply want to get rid of it, if you click start, control panel, then 'programs and features' or 'add/remove programs' depending on your version of windows, you should find a list of all the programs installed on your computer, simply find the backup program and click uninstall.
hope this was helpful.

Computer will not boot since i download superantispyware.

You can boot your computer to safe mode by tapping the 'F8' key as soon as you power it on. It will go to a black screen with white letters, and in the menu shown you can find Safe Mode. Use the keyboard up or down arrow button to highlight Safe Mode, then hit 'Enter'. This should enable you to boot to a basic desktop. If you get a user screen asking which user you want to sign in as, pick 'Administrator', then click 'OK' if a warning pops up saying you are entering Safe Mode. When you are on the basic desktop, you should be able to open Start button - Settings (on XP) - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs (XP), or Programs and Features (Vista or 7). From there you can uninstall SuperAntiSpyware so you can boot your computer normally. When you've done that, you need to find out why the program stopped the boot process after install. It could be you don't have sufficient RAM, hard disk space, or the correct version for your Operating System. Try to get your computer booting normally, then you can ask if you need further assistance.
