Question about Computers & Internet
The first step is to make sure your system is set to boot from cd/dvd first, it is known as boot order. you can test if it is by simply putting the disk in and restart the computer, it will pop up with a line saying "press any key to boot from cd...." pressing a key on the keyboard will begin the install proccess, it's pretty straight forward, just follow the instructions on screen.
if however it does not boot fro the drive you will have to go into the BIOS and set the cd rom drive as the first boot device, do so by pressing the "Delete" or "Del" key on your keyboard when the system is turned on, you can press it repeatedly to make sure you don't miss it. once inside the bios what you are looking for are the boot options, or boot order, every bios is different as to where in the menu it is listed but it will be called boot order, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate the menu system. after you have changed the cd rom drive to the first boot drive ( make sure you do not completely remove your hard drive from the boot sequence, as you will want it to be booted from after the windows install is complete) press the F10 key to save changes made and exit the bios.
