Does your chair have the nine pin connector from the joystick to the rear of the chair? If it does have them replace the main nine pin harness in the base. this harness connects the batteries and the motors and supplies the power to your motors through the joystick. I have found these give the problem you are having yet doesn't give any errors that you might have a bad motor etc Fairly cheap fix harness should cost about $20.00 Hope this helps

When i turn on my chair it reads controller and does nothing but flash controller

If this is when the charger is plugged into the chair, the chair goes into inhibited mode so you cant drive away towing the charger with you. A safety feature.

Is it worth buying a massage chair in replacement of going to my weekly massage appointments at the spa?

I think so. Let's face it; although massage chairs can be expensive, they are a one-time fee that will pay off in the long run; whereas seeing a masseuse every week is an ongoing cost. Even putting price aside, buying a massage chair adds a level of convenience to your life. Having a massage chair in your home is like having a therapist on call 24/7.

Dear FixYa, Do you have a telephone number to customers to contact for support with maintenance questions or possible repair or for the Drive Medical Duet Transport Wheelchair Chair Rollator Walker...

    Hi Donald & Stephani,

FixYa is a product-support site where trained technicians and product-enthusiasts share their knowledge with product-owners. We are not affiliated with Drive Medical, but I think I can point you to them.

I've looked online, and you can find Drive Medical's site here (for when you do have internet access)- https://www.drivemedical.com/catalog/index.php and their phone number for customer support and technical service is 877-224-0946.

    I hope that helps.

The right motor will need to be replaced. What reason did they give why Meduicare wouldn't pay for repair If the Aspire is your only chair then Medicare will pay. If you have received a new chair since the Aspire then Medicare will only pay for repair to the newer chair. You can contact a repair service other than the home Medical to get the chair fixed. You can contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 for repair Hope this helps you

How to run one motor on its gear box and not use the other motor.

It is next to impossible to run in a straight line using only one motor. If I understand your problem, you have one bad motor gearbox and would like to use your power chair with the remaining working motor gearbox. This is possible, but you will run in circles. You can run the chair forward for half a circle then reverse the joystick for a quarter of the return circle and then run the joystick forward again. This will not accomplish very much and will be frustrating. You should have the power chair repaired so that you can use it. Perhaps your local dealer can provide a loaner while you are waiting for the repair parts. Hope this helps.

Ran into wall with ranger wheelchair now green light comes on and flashes then goes to red and cuts off chair will not go at all please help!

Sounds like you've knocked the joystick off-center in its gymbal mount. This is a pretty common problem since the joystick usually takes the first hit into walls, doorframes, and also happens a lot when the chairs get run under table and counters. The power control module has a "prevent" circuit which will not allow the chair to boot-up if the joystick is not top-dead-center, otherwise, the chair could be turned on while pushing the joysitck full-speed forward, etc. and you could inadvertantly run over someone or drive off a cliff!

There's nothing you can do to repair this yourself. If the chair's under warranty, call your provider for a replacement. If not, call your banker as the new joystick is about $1,000.00. There's a company I found that advertises it can repair these but I have never used them. It'd be worth a try to save all the money. Here's the link.
