Question about GE Profile WPRE8100G

1 Answer

Exploded view GE WPRE8100GOWT the bucket violently shakes, seems to be a connector rod missing from under the motor mounting area, this looks to stop the bucket from moving back and forth. I need to know this part number if it exists. Thank You!

ok, if it is shaking that bad it has more damage than you might think,, first open the door and look at the gasket, it should be nice and round, not flexed or under strain,, then try to take it of of the pedestal and run it,, if this helps get a new one,, the shocks wouldnt cause it to shake real bad,, it could be a bad spring, or a counter weight issue, but it sounds like it might have been dropped for a leg mount to be broke,, i have never seen one break without a GOOD REASON

The bucket is banging back and forth violently causing the machine to move around. We made sure the load was evenly distributed but it continues to bounce around at the 15 minute left mark on the cycle...

Check the suspension rods inside the machine. Sound like one has come off or has broke. Here is a link to the part if you need it. The white ones are for the rear of the tub, and the green ones are for the front.

Shakes violently during spin cycle from back to

I had this problem with my front loader as well. It is probably the mounts or "level shocks" on the bottom of the unit under the tub. I have a Kenmore by Frigidaire and had to replace the "level shocks". I only paid about $43.00 and was not that hard to put on. Look under your machine and see if the shocks are connected to the tub. Check under the top panel also to see if that particular model has mounts up there too.

The tub is offline and shake the washer violently

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Washer shakes violently

The drum mounts to a spindle on the back. On these units, it is common for the tripod mounts for this particular design to crack and break. On every call I have had for a terrible vibration on these models, this has been the problem. The remedy is to replace the front and rear tub, as well as the basket. It is also recommended that you replace the drain pump at the same time. Most of this should be covered under at least a parts warranty.
