I did connect DVI-I to the macbookpro's mini displayport. But nothing happens still. I also tried to connect it to my little NetBook (PC), but nothing happened again.

Yes you should be able to by using the

  • DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (optional)
That will output from the macbook to your projector.

If you have any other questions let me know.
Thank you,

First make sure your macbook is outputting to DVI. Also make sure that in the settings on the projector are set to auto and that should work.

I would like to connect my Sanyo PLV-Z2 project to a DVD player with HDMI output in order to higer quality. I used a HDMI->DVI cable and connected DVI to Z2. I set the input 2 as RGB-HDCP. However it does...

I have the same unit (2 of them actually.) I have spent a lot of time on this very issue. The problem is that although the unit is "supposed" to be HDCP (digital copy protection) compatible, it is not fully. I've found that with some DVD players it will work for a minute or two and then go black, and with others, it will flash on and off, and with some it will never do anything but black. I have only found 2 ways around this. 1 is to use a computer (which does not use the HDCP) windows Vista/windows7 might have the same problems, but XP/2000/Linux work perfectly. The other solution that worked was to use a Playstation3 which seems to work perfectly with it playing DVDs and BlueRays.

DVI will not recognise now ?

Presumably, you're going directly from DVI port on computer to DVI port on Z2?. Here is a Q&A list based on all the possible sceanrios for this hook-up...

Q1: Is it DVI-D or DVI-I (with unencrypted DIGITAL output from graphics card)?
A1: Choose 'Input 2', then 'RGB(PC Digital)' on Z2.

Q2: Is it DVI-D or DVI-I (with HDCP-encrypted DIGITAL output from graphics card)?
A2: Choose 'Input 2', then 'RGB(AV HDCP)' on Z2.

Q3: Is it DVI-I or DVI-A (with ANALOGUE output from graphics card)?
A3: Choose 'Input 2', then select 'RGB(Analog)' on Z2.

After making sure the correct 'Input 2' is chosen to match the signal coming from the card's DVI port, make sure your card is outputting a suitable screen resolution that the PLV-Z2 can display correctly, e.g... 1280x720 (native, and preferable!); 640x480; 800x600; 1024x768 (choose this if you don't have 1280x720); 1280x1024, etc. Also, if you have multiple refresh rates availble for the resolutions, choose 60Hz.

You should end up with an image.
