Question about Grundig Xephia 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma TV

Open Question

Have a problem with picture on 42" Grundig Xephia PW1106606TOP. There is picture ,but shades (hue) of all 3 colours ar very bad and picture is much darker than it should be. All voltages on all boards are OK ,sustain waveforms on y-sus and z-sus board - OK (tested with oscilloscope). Picture is much darker if video signal comes via SCART then if it comes via composite IN (chinch ,AV3) ,but it's not even close to a normal picture ,HDMI doesn't work at all. I belive that problem is on main board but I'm not sure which part on board make problems.

Hi, There are shorted parts inside your TV. If you able to check the TV, please check all power line with OHMMETER. Investigate the capacitor and others from deformed and damaged. Replace the broken parts with existing type. If you are not know how to repair, a local TV repair shop is an option.

SOURCE: No sound on a 21in

Hi.

Using AV entry ensure that the red/white leads have been connected properly to TV Audio input. SCART is supposed to have built in sound. Test using a different scart.
Try disconnecting power cord for fifteen minutes, that will discharge internal component and reset the TV. Double check audio settings just in case.

If all that does not help, then the problem is likely the sound circuit inside TV. In this case the audio circuit is built-in the main board. Usually with the 19'' LCD TVs you need to replace the main board. Parts for this model are not available from third party distributors. In case the TV is defective, I suggest calling the Grundig number listed on your owners manual to arrange repair or to check part availability. To find contacts you can also use the 'International' tab on top of this page:Welcome to Grundig.

Regards.

Ginko.

The TV doesn't start, the RED led flashes a click sound is heard and then LED switches off. This goes on and on and on

The problems starts from the power unit, on this board, the voltages needed to operated TV normally dropped down very low.And one of the power resistor/ Integrated Circuit burned.
To fix this, you need to find someone who capable to repair this board or took it to service center.
