Question about Sony KP-46WT520 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
5 blinks error means that there has been a white balance error triggered either due to faulty video ICs on either of the CRT boards or the CRT drive IC on the A-board is faulty. I do have the service manual and can help you fix it if you know how to use a multimeter and solder. I should also tell you that this is high voltage electronic device(especially the near the CRT boards). The CRTs act as giant capacitors and hold voltages of upto 30,000V for several days after the set has been unplugged. I did not mean to scare you but I just wanted to give you a headsup!
