SOURCE: heater wont light

Perhaps the regulator is going bad, cheap and easy to replace. If not the regulator, then there is probably a blockage in the pilot assembly. If you don't use it for some time, and don't put it inside, or cover it, dirt and insects can get inside and cause a blockage.

You have to take the head apart to clear a blockage. If you are not comfortable with taking the head apart, hire someone to do it.

SOURCE: Rinnai inbuilt lpg gas fireplace IB35ETR wont

You don't mention any error codes displayed. If this is the case I would start with a new main PCB. It should try and light for approx. 10 seconds and then go to lockout with an error code 11 if it was a gas supply issue. This is all controlled by the PCB hence my opinion on a PCB fault.

To check the patio heater first make sure all the pipes/hose are clear, remove debris and check for insects, water and air. If these are all clear and the regulator is working OK then the most likely cause will be a worn thermocople, these wear out and are easy and cheap to replace. Found this site very useful for patio heater top repair tips.

Have a richmond 6G40-36F1 hot water heater had to turn off gas for another issue, now igniter doesnt spark and pilot wont light

Not to sound silly, but are you pushing the igniter button down hard enough so it snaps? If so, your igniter is no good. Try to light the water heater the old fashioned way by using a match. I would use fireplace matches since they are long enough to reach the pilot light point.

Is there a trick to starting the Pyrox 400? Turned the fan on and press on low then repeatedly press the ignition pilot light, start to smell of gas after a minute. Won't start Help please

Is the ignition sparking? When you press and hold down the buttons, the ignition should be sparking at the centre electrode. At the same time when you hold the buttons down, the gas valve is manually held open to release the gas. The spark is then supposed to ignite the gas. Hold the knobs down for about 3 to 5 seconds after ignition and the gas valve will stay on. If it lights but the flame wont stay on, it could be anything from a partially blocked aeration port to a worn knob. When you push down on the knob, it is supposed to press down on an electromagnetic lock which keeps the gas valve open when the flame is burning. When the knob or shaft isn't pushing down enough, it doesn't keep the gas valve locked and the flame will go out as soon as you let the knob go.

There could a couple of problems. An easy and inexpensive thing to try is replacing the hose and regulator. If that doesn't help, the pilot jet may be clogged and you have to do some diassembly to get to the pilot jet and clean out the orifice. The last thing is that possibly the igniter is not creating a spark to light the heater.

Igniter sparks after several tries but the pilot will not light

no gas is getting to pilot light. if all else fails change thermal coupling, if this is bad no gas will come out.

Wont light

Is there a spark? or do you need a long match? The button usually just opens the pilot so it can be lit. If its not electronic.
