Sounds like a simple input problem, find the input button on the remote or the tv and change the source input until you get a picture,

If you changed the batteries and installed the replacement batteries correctly, the remote may have failed and will have to be replaced.

I have a Hitachi 50"

Hello mark riazzi,

I am not sure what you mean by a box that came with the tv. What is the model of your number of your tv? Some tv's have power right at the front of the tv and the other buttons are usually located on the side of the tv or if its a thin tv, then on the back at the edges. You should have also gotten a remote with the tv if it was new out of the box. If not, get a universal remote. The manual that comes with the universal remote will have a code for the model of your Hitachi tv. Follow the instructions and you can use that remote instead. Good luck.

TV comes on, then the blue light flashes, then stays on. The remote doesn't work when Input or menu is pushed. The remote will only turn TV on, not Off. The side buttons do not work either. I've unplugged...

Seems like a problem with the main audio/video board. Does the screen come on and stay lit? Please provide this info so that I can confirm the problem and offer you an appropriate solution.

TV turns on for 2 second and then it is off

Your TV may have detected an error. Try first to have the TV unplugged overnight just to clear it out then observe it after turning it back on.
