I am pretty certain that this watch uses two #386 silver oxide button cells. Alkaline cells would work, too, but they'd burn out more quickly--not that batteries last all that long in this watch, anyway. I'm basing this on the slightly newer (~1976-78) plastic-bodied TI LED watch that I have in front of me that I believe contains the same time keeping module as the original model 101.

It is also possible that the earlier watch would have taken #357 batteries, which are the same diameter as #386 cells but slightly taller. Both battery types were popular in LED watches of the time. However, I would suggest starting with #386 cells, as I destroyed the case back of a plastic TI LED watch many years ago by trying to use #357 batteries instead of the slightly smaller 386s. Both batteries put out the same voltage, so the watch will light up with either. However, the case back won't close if the battery is too tall--and if you force it, you can bend, distort, or shatter (in my case) the all-but-unobtainable case back.

Have fun with this watch! Mine still lights up and keeps good time.

I got the plastic cover off the face but cannot figure how to get to where i would put a battery in

Most pocket watches open in the back. Usually you have to have a very thin bladed instrument to pop off the back of the case. Since this is a gold watch I would take it to a jeweler to look at it since it is very easy to scratch up the case if you aren't careful.

How do i change batteries on a Casio fishing watch, model AQW-101?

do you see there is a whole in the middle of the metal cap? try using your tweezers to create a lever and put just enough force that it pops open. You can also remove the whole thing out so it is easier to work with. Good luck!

What kind of battery do I need for my watch-Fossil FS3028

Fossil watches typically have an 11-year warranty. If you're still in this time frame, you can send it back to them for replacement at:

This is often the only way to get it replaced. If you're not within that time frame, you can try checking a local watchmaker's shop (you can find them in your phone book), and, barring that, you can try a jeweler's shop. But I would suggest sending to Fossil if you're still in the warranty period.

Does it need a battery?

I have looked at their web site but have not been able to find the model you mention but all the chronometers except one marked "automatic" (which is spring driven) was marked "quartz" and hence was battery driven.

My Garmin 101 won't turn on, even with new batteries. Any ideas?

You said your watch was a "101", I assume that is a Forerunner 101.

The instruction say "press and hold the power button until the welcome page is displayed".

Perhaps you are not holding on to the power button for long enough?

Incidentally, if you do not have a copy of the instruction manual, you can obtain a copy from their web site "". "Select support" and "manuals", fill in all three boxes and select your manual from the list given.

Whats the battery model for a fossil am3725 watch

I don't know off hand, however if I had the watch I would remove the case back and see exactly what battery is in it. I would first test it with my instrument that would tell you if the battery is bad or not or is it the movement. If the new battery works then GREAT!. If a new battery does not solve the problem then the movement can have the gears "gummed up".
I have the equipment that can "spin" the gears and loosened them up with the addition of a little specail cleaning fluid. If that doesn't fix it. then there is always the option of replacing the movement. But this is your call on how much the watch cost you.
