By using software such as http://www.stopmotionpro.com/ which requires that you simply have a webcam or video camera and not a lot of expensive equipment and lighting.

I have my web cam all set up and the camera flashes for a short time and then goes off. It shows my picture for a short time and then goes off can you help please

Usually the computer has recognised the connection of an external device. A camera software on the computer should allow to capture store and edit photos or videos. Depending on the type of camera, like with digital cameras, only still images are acquirabel and not videos or motion pictures. Refer to the capabilities of the type of camera either as web cam, digital still camera, or simply incapable of motion picture features.

The built-in Motion Eye Camera is designed to add video functionality to many instant Messaging or video editing Software applications (such as Windows Messenger or MovieMaker). However the configuration process and support for how to set-up these individual applications is provided by the Software manufacturer, not Sony. Please contact your Yahoo Messenger support team for assistance on how to configure their Software.

TIP: Simply turning on your Computer activates that camera, so no specific
action is required to start the video services. Please note that only one
application can access the video signal at a time. If the signal is already
in use by one application, it will not be able to be detected by a second

Follow this procedure to take still image pictures with the integrated Sony Motion Eye camera.
1. On the taskbar, click Start and then click My Computer.
2. In the My Computer window, double-click the Sony Visual Communications icon.
3. In the Sony Visual Communications window, under Camera Tasks, click Take new picture.

Follow this procedure to capture video with the integrated Sony Motion Eye camera.
1. On the taskbar, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Movie Maker.
2. In the Windows Movie Maker window, on the left side under Capture Video, click Capture from video device.

Hi s_farah07,

You can use the WebCam Companion Software installed in the Computer to capture images using the Motion Eye Camera.

To locate the Application, please click Start, All Programs, ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software and click ArcSoft WebCam Companion. This will open the Appilcation, then you can click the "Capture" option to capture the images.

If the Applications is not available in the Computer, you can download and install it from the below link.

When my camera turns on it is a still picture. After a minute or so it has motion. Shouldn't it have motion as soon as it turns on?

It probably depends on your PC but a minute is quite a long time, I would ask if you have another PC try it on that and see if it does the same just to make sure its not the Camera. Also make sure you have the latest software.

Motion blurry on logitech webcam

Normal 0 How much memory is installed in your computer? The camera uses quite a bit of your memory to operate properly and would cause the poor video. Could be other
Issues, but worth checking.
Hope this helps. Bud

For "diss"

You can tweak it with some software download the software from http://www.motvik.com/ and use your own predefined image for default image.

For "piston1"
What software you are using? I will suggest you to use webcam recorder for motion videos. For images just use Print Screen Key
