Question about KitchenAid Dishwashers
Sometimes the wire nuts come loose inside the connection box due to vibration. I have
also seen them burn through (when aluminum wire is connected to the dishwasher).
The power to the circuit should be shut off at the breaker panel and checked with
a "Non Contact voltage detector" before removing cover to inspect wire connections
in the connection box. The non contact detector is sold at many big box home
improvement stores for around 12 dollars. I recommend it since many breakers are not
marked at the panel or incorrectly marked, and the wiring can contact the chassis if
the wire nuts are burnt through. Check the detector at a working outlet prior to using.
Hope this helps.
