How do I enter bios on Gateway desktop 835 GM?

gateway omg old or is Acer made, now. made 2005, 14 years old.
omg2, relic Pentium D PC, wow. old.
there are 2 ways, mostly, (besides rear clam shells)
2 screws.
or the latch.
we are USA are you outside USA the USA GW lists no 835.
usa has 830. and 840. we pitch these the trash, no w10 support.


this looks like slider case to me. the rear side panels do not just pop off 1 by 1, no.
the clue If you look the top and sides are 1 part.
so that top rear screw release it, or the who front comes off pops off and screws seen there release the wrapper.
that is 1 odd duck case. it retire it in a heart beat.
some odd cases tilt the pc from top to rear look bottom front/s
see levers there in plastic and when tripped the whole front tilts off.

why not ask gateway Acer.com this we are not ACER>

only they support it.
why mess with BIOS name one reason.

in my past experience when you change drivers or bios, you should be able to unistall the new and restore the old. if you go to Gateway web site enter your model info or tag into search, it will provide the bios, drivers and software updates to your model. if you pick BIOS when your model info is displayed and download it, it should be the old one or original if no updates are listed. the links sent you may have answered this already. i have gateway pc so thats what i do.

At first check the battery that's on you motherboard. The battery powers the bios on your motherboard. The bios detects you push the power button and turns on the pc. If the battery is dead the bios has no power, so it cannot detect you push the power button and will not turn on the pc. So replacing the battery will solve the problem. If the battery is not the problem, I think your motherboards bios is dead. Maybe it can be fixed but you'll have to send it back to the manufacturer I think.

Well youve paid for and got it know, so it shouldn't really matter. I think once you have something then you should not worry about the cost unless it starts giving hassle. I bought my PS3 and a few weeks later it dropped by 150€, but I have it and Im happy with it.

you can remove that BIOS battery and you must to insert new one of battery BIOS. Usually you can use CR2032 battery. You can buy in eletronic shop. And now, you can enter your BIOS and set them all.
Oh yeah, definitely there is three password in computer from BIOS.
One, come from BIOS password, if you want to enter and make a setting for BIOS;
Two, come from Harddisc password, if you give a password to your HDD;
Three, come from operating system, like a Windows, Linux, ...etc.

well, the most common BIOS entry keys are F1, F2, F10, and Delete.
push one while the computer is booting, before windows starts booting.

I don't do many BIOS updates (mostly because they can be fatal to your system if they go wrong) but my general understanding is that if the update does not finish then you are out of luck. Your best bet will probably be to replace the motherboard completely.

Hopefully someone on here has a better idea though...
