Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

Open Question

We have just bought a Panasonic Viera TXL37E30B television with a Sony blu-ray player. I was wondering if you could please advise us on which piece of equipment we should plug a dongle in - in the tv itself on in the dvd-player? I know the telly is wi-fi ready so would have thought a dongle should go in there (an ethernet cable would run through the house, hence we prefer a dongle!). My son feels we should have the dongle plugged into the dvd player. Please can you help? Many thanks Alba Robinson (Mrs)

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Sharp Aquos LC42d64u has blurry picture...

Hi,

Is it slow and blurry? if yes then return it to warranty immediately. The video processing circuits are malfunctioning and the repair cost is prohibitive if you must pay for it on your own.

I hope it is still under warranty. So, do not delay getting it into the Sharp Authorized facility or back to the retailer you purchased it from.

The connection cable you use could have something to do with it, but is should work on all formats. The best for reliability and absence of blocking is just analog composite - but that is also the lowest picture resolution. S-video is okey too, but it is analog as well. Component is the highest grade; going to hdmi is just another way of receiving the signal - I don't think it will effect the error correction problem in any way. My opinion.

Goodluck..

SOURCE: Invalid format error with P1600 blu-ray and LG LCD TV 42"

It may be a firmware issue if hdmi works with other items such as playstation.
If no hdmi the main Pcb hdmi ports are bad and the main Pcb would have to be replaced.

Consumers cannot upgrade the firmware so a shop would be the only option.

SOURCE: My Panasonic Viera 50" 1080i

The Panasonic doesn't detect the presence of the signal on the antenna input so it just skips it. shut down the player and turn the cable box on before attempting to switch sources.
But why aren't you using the Composite RCA connection on the cable box ? Not only you would get a much better image but the tv would detect that change in the AV source and should switch by itself. If it doesn't then the control processor is faulty and the entire mainboard will will have to be replaced

Please make sure your connectors are in the proper place.

The HDMI inputs on the rear of the TV are optimized for use with Audio/Video devices, Blu-ray Disc Player, DVD Recorder, etc.
The front or side HDMI inputs only are designated for PC. To use the TV as a PC monitor, advise customers to use only front or side HDMI inputs.

SONY BDP-S350 MULTIREGIONAL PROB

You should get Asian firmware.

They are (despite printed DVD Region 3, BD Region A) all DVD region free. Tested on mine (bought in Thailand).

Panasonic BD30 was also DVD Region free. The firmware for that one is available from Panasonic website. Not sure if there's another way than automatic update from inside BD player to upgrade Sony.
