How to eliminate receiver/transmitter in hunter 28425

Open the box at the bottom of the ceiling fan, where the switch is. You should find the receiver inside there. You'll find one white wire connected to it, and two black wires also connected to it. Remove the white wire completely or cap it off with a wire nut. Connect the two black wires to each other with a wire nut. Reassemble the ceiling fan. If the problem was the receiver, then the problem is now gone because the receiver is gone.

I have a Hunter ceiling fan with a remote control model number 85095. The remote will turn the fan on and off and change the speeds but it will not turn the light on or off anymore. Any help?

Make sure the wires to the light kit are connected to the light & light wire connected in ceiling. If that's not your problem then you probably need a new receiver. Call 1-888-830-1326 and have your FAN model handy.Should be a five digit number beginning with a 2.

I need a hunter's ceiling fan remote part# 85095-01 can you help me?

To my knowledge there are not parts available for remotes. Have you checked to be sure that all your dip switches are coded identically, receiver and transmitter. There are no servicable parts on the remotes. You can purchase a new remote & receiver at Home Depot for $29.00. Be sure you have 120 volt at your fan and check your remote batteries.

Hunter ceiling fan (model no. 25736) and light not starting

Home Depot sells universal remote systems (transmitter and receiver) for around $30 (in Delaware & Pennsylvania) -- don't know price in Chicago).

I'd just replace it. Hunter may be correct that they are the only source for the receiver, but if you get a new transmitter as well, you don't need their receiver. The labor is the same either way.
