SOURCE: replacing the battery in a 2001 mercedes benz

Battery base has a device that clamps the battery on a step/notch on the side. Use a ratchet with an extension to loosen. Once it is loose you can remove the battery.

Why must i discharge the air conditioning refridgerant prior to removal of the heater core on a 2003 c230 mercedes 1.8l coupe.

The reason in why you must evacuate the a/c system with an a/c machine before you can remove the heater core is because the evaporator is located inside of the heater core box assembly. So before the heater core box assembly can be removed the a/c system must be evacuated then you can disconnect the a/c lines that go through the firewall to the evaporator.

Why is gray smoke coming from the top of my dashboard vents when i turn my heater on in my 89 ford f-150 truck?

Are you sure its smoke not steam? Most common problem is the heater core leaking. Look for moisture on the floor boards first. If it is wet then you have a heater core problem

I own a 1990 190e Mercedes-Benz, after it has run for a little while, it starts to leak water on the passengers side, behind the heater, which leads to the car over-heating. How could I fix this?

This is your heater core leaking. One thing you can try is some of the stop leaks that the auto part stores sell. I would try "Liquid glass" as the heads on these are kind of delicate once overheated. This may also stop any other damage occuring(like leaking headgaskets). The only other fix is replacing the heater core.

Water is getting inside of car on passenger side. and i think it effected the radio and heating/cooling system.

The coolant hose going into the heater core gets leak at the clamp end. Need to replace this piece of hose. This sounds simple, but it is not uncomplicated. There are 2 hoses coming in and going out from the heater. You can make a loop to bypass the coolant going to the heater core to eliminate the leak. However, do this way you won't have the heater at all.
