My Minolta 1030 b/w copier is printing several vertical lines down the right side of the copy. What does this usually mean? Is the drum going bad?

-   The copy quality on my Minolta 1030 is slowly deteriorating. This includes a stripe of black going vertically, on the edge, of my copies. The machine works fine otherwise and has done 35K copies. -   michmccoydc

Depends if the lines go across the page as if the paper comes out or if they go down the page. If across then poss drum, transfer, or fuser unit, If down the page could be a short on the charge then poss only drum unit.
