Question about GE Dishwashers
Mine does the same i have to use a screwdriver to start the motor by turning the motor manually... i think its the starting capacitor

these two things can cause this problem: first is the timer motor, if the sound
is coming from the control then the timer needs replacement. If the humming
comes from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that needs replacement.
When the motor won't work you usually hear humming sound and replacing the
motor is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other
